Qualified Teacher and Centre Manager, Rachael Holmes and her team of qualified staff, are delighted to offer a professional and bespoke tuition service for children between the ages of 5 and 16. Our students attend our friendly and welcoming study centres for 1-2 hours each week and gain confidence and skills in maths and English.

What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about tutoring is seeing children develop their confidence in a subject in a different environment to the classroom and then hearing from parents the impact that that is having in school. We are always sad to see children go when they feel they no longer need us but at the same time, it is always rewarding to know that we have had a positive impact on their education.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A series of events in my own life and the thought of 'why not' - I was already tutoring for York Tuition Centres and the time was right!
Why should our clients choose you?
Because we believe that all children are capable of achieving. We strongly believe in developing confidence and fluency - we do not 'hot house' our tutor pupils - but work with them at the level they need. Supporting the foundations of English and maths where there might be gaps and then building on that to help our pupils succeed.
