If anyone is selling or renting their home in Glasgow. I can 100% recommend Yates Hellier. As a wanky ex estate agent I’m pretty hard to impress. As the saying goes. You can’t kid a kidder. But I’ve found these chaps straight talking. Knowledgable. Honest. And thorough. Communication throughout the process has been outstanding. Pictures, video and marketing material was incredibly professional and absolutely hit the mark. Our flat went on the market on the Wednesday. Viewings on Saturday. And We had 3 offers by the Monday. And we’ve completed missives and moved within 6 weeks. Potential purchasers were fully vetted prior to viewings so we weren’t subjected to endless nosey, noses. We have relocated overseas and, as landlords, reliability, efficiency and great customer service (both for us and our tenants) is crucial. I recently purchased for buy-to-let a property in Merchant City, Glasgow, marketed by Yates Hellier. On viewing the property, Mr. Yates, a courteous professional with in-depth knowledge of the local property market, readily answered all my questions to my satisfaction. As I was new to the Glasgow property market, I checked out various possible letting agents including major ones, but for different reasons found them all unsatisfactory. It then dawned on me I could use Yates Hellier as my letting agent, so discussed matters in detail with Mr.Hellier, Mr.Yates’s partner, who is in charge of the letting side of the business. He was meticulous and thorough in answering all my questions, so everything readily became clear. Accordingly, I decided to use them as my letting agent. When preparing the property for letting, I received very useful advice. Yates Hellier successfully secured a tenant for my property surprisingly quickly. Other members of staff were also highly efficient in dealing with various matters. I would very highly recommend Yates Hellier as selling agents for any of my friends. Their service was very personal and I felt they cared as much as I did about the sale of my property, offering a standard of care that was second to none. I used to use one of the larger agents in Glasgow to rent out my flats, the communication was good at the start but then wore over time. When my most recent became available in Hyndland I reached out to Ross who was introduced by a friend and met him for a coffee to see what they could offer. Ross visited the flat and pretty much took the whole project on from there, excellent communication, really on the ball with all work that needed done and most importantly I had 0 days between one tenant moving out and the new one in. I simply cannot recommend Ross and Jack at Yates Hellier highly enough. Their work to assess, photograph and advertise our property was quick & professional which secured us a choice of attractive potential tenants. It was hard for us initially to think about renting out our flat as it had been our home for many years but I know that it is in great hands and over a year down the line we have had nothing but impeccable service and our property has been well looked after by our tenants. Detailed quarterly reports and photos keep our mind at ease and all paperwork/financing is done in a timely fashion. The most important thing, though, is that both Ross and Jack always go the extra mile whether it's about forwarding post, dealing with factors etc. They are always happy and willing to do what needs done with profesionalism and a friendly approach. Myself and my wife have been using Yates Hellier for the last 2 years after they were recommended by a friend. Communication is excellent, keeping you up to speed on any matters that arise and ensuring that they provide detail via email and follow up by phone on any larger problems. The management rate is competitive but one of the most positive points is that they use a range of tradespeople who provide an excellent service but charge fair and reasonable rates where other companies apply sometimes exorbitant mark ups. Ross and Jack provide a personal touch that gives reassurance that your property is actually being managed and not just administered. As the company has expanded over the last couple of years I am happy to say the service has not deminished but has remained as professional and comprehensive as it has always been. Property inspections are also thorough with detailed reports including pictures provided. I would recommend Ross and Jack to anyone looking to rent out their property. Keep up the good work guys! I took some time to decide which agency I wanted to use as I live in England and would be doing it all from afar so knew I needed an agency I could trust.
After meeting Ross I knew instantly that he was going to be the one to take me through this process- even my mum agreed! And that was the toughest job out the way!
The boys at Yates Hellier are so professional and so on the ball that I had nothing to worry about as they were doing it all and I trusted them to be doing the right thing for me. They absolutely did and within a week of my property being on the market- offers were in and one was accepted. It really was that fast!
I couldn’t recommend Yates Hellier enough- the fact that I was completely in the loop at all points in the process was fantastic and made it as stress-free as possible!
