Mina has been working with our lock down puppy, who had not had the opportunity to be socialised with other dogs and we found adorable but very stubborn. Oscar has been helping train our German Shepherd for the past 2 years.  I only wish we had brought our dog to Oscar sooner.  We travel from (North County) San Diego to train with Oscar as we need him and will continue to do so.  When looking for trainers, we were willing to travel as far as the Bay Area, but Oscar has been amazing.  We feel that his style of training is very effective not just for dogs but mainly for the owners.  If you are looking for a balanced trainer, I would definitely recommend Oscar and the Elevated Canine team. Debbie at Canine Academy has been amazing with teaching my boyfriend and I how to train/handle our dogs. Walks with our reactive dog used to be stressful, but with the tools and knowledge that Debbie has equipped us with, we look forward to walking around the neighborhood and hope to see a dog or two to try out Rosie's new skills. The training has been such an amazing thing for us, and we noticed huge improvements, even after just the first lesson. We also bring our newer (non-reactive) dog in for basic obedience and we're excited about the progress he is making. No matter how much research on dog training you do, nothing quite matches the amount you learn from in-person lessons from an extremely knowledgeable trainer. My wild boy, Dexter, was a shelter dog. We didn’t know where he came from or his history, but when we brought him home, he was WILD and destructive. Couldn’t stand to be away from us. Hated being outside, fought with our other dog, and was just a huge mess, absolutely loveable, but a huge mess! Sent him for the 3 week board and train and he is a brand new dog! I learned so many new ways to communicate with dogs, and now i have a dog I’m proud to take out in public and show off. Everyone comments on how well behaved his is! Oscar is amazing!!! My Cane Corsos love Oscar and Christian. They have been most wonderful. They have prepared and trained my dogs effectively and efficiently. When a work relocation meant that our 4 dogs had to get used to being let out leashed for walks and having much less space to play inside, coming from a house with a big fenced yard and access to it via a dog door to an apartment, it became apparent very quickly that our beloved and terribly spoiled pups needed to learn some house manners. In addition, one of my older dogs still had not come to like our newest rescue and had become reactive towards her which was a major concern. We heard about Complete Canine Academy through the rescue group we fostered with and had adopted 2 of our babies from. It was a long drive from our new state of residence, Alabama, but absolutely worth it. We were worried that with the training our dogs might lose some of their fun personalities, but that was not the case at all. We still have so much fun, but day to day life is easier. We did the 3 week board and train program with e-collar for all 4, and they learned several basics such as sit, stay, place, come, off, lay down, leave it, heel. I work from home and used to have to crate them if I had a conference call, but now I can have them in the office with me in place and can trust them to lay down and keep calm until I’m off the call. We are able to go on walks and hikes without them barking at other dogs or yanking on the leash. My reactive girl now ignores our youngest most of the time, with some reminders at times. Having 4 dogs can be a handful regardless, but having 4 untrained dogs, I don’t know how we managed before. It has been a life changer just having more trust between us on and off leash. I also love the packet that we were given for help with ongoing training. Most of the behavior issues we were having before had nothing to do with the dogs, it was more training us, the humans, how to best communicate with the dogs, establishing ourselves as the leaders, setting appropriate expectations and having appropriate responses to their various behaviors, good or bad. I thoroughly recommend Canine Academy and The fabulous Mina. She visited us at home and spent the time finding out what problems we were having with Mango a young anxious Jack-chi. We also have a very old lab-cross and this had resulted in unexpected behaviour on "walkies" . We were amazed with what Mina achieved when she looked after Mango, and in such a short time. We were kept informed by messages, photos, video footage and phone calls of Mango's progress. The handover has been brilliant as it has given us the confidence to learn how to put Mango at her ease and now enjoy our lovely dog without being nervous on walks and in social situations. We searched and talked to many trainers and many of the trainers all recommended Oscar, to include our Breader. We signed up for the five week boarded training, our cane corso had some very unique issues with potty training well beyond normal potty training. When Our dog was returned home after the five weeks she was extremely obedient however had potty accidents at our house  Oscar took her back with ZERO hesitation  and continued to work with our dog at no extra cost until he felt positive  she would do what we wanted. Oscar stuck with our dog until he figured out what made our dog tick,  he employed  many many different training strategies. Oscar truly  went above and beyond. we take our dog everywhere with us, she is truly a member of the family. I never thought I would have a dog this well behaved and trained. She is also only 8 months old so I can't imagine what she will be like as she matures a bit. Oscar is there for us with all questions or concerns I would recommend him and to team to everyone. he taught us how to successfully communicate with our dog. He is serious and passionate about what he does and he's really really good at it. Very easy to talk to I now consider him a friend, he  took the time to explain everything, answered every question we had. he exceeded  our expectations and earned our business for life. I have a male Rottweiler and was in search of a trainer that was very experienced with Rottweilers. They do not have the same personality and drive as German Shepherds or Malinois etc, so experience with Rottweilers was very important. Oscar and his team came highly recommend from a few people I met during a Sieger show in Northern California. I did my research and came across a few YouTube videos that blew me away & knew Elevated Canine Academy was the right fit. He has two dogs that are stunning, Luca (Rottweiler) and Guapo (Malinois). I turn into a little kid watching him train with those dogs lol. Anyways, back to my review. My boy wasn't a bad dog but he was growing into a very powerful dog and needed direction. My wife was having trouble controlling him so obedience training was a must. We have trained with Oscar for 6 weeks now and I cannot believe how far we've come! My dog is a different boy on walks and doesn't lunge at every dog walking by. He is more obedient in the house and we are able to have control over him in public as well. What I love about Elevated's program is that they truly go in depth into the "why" of what we are training on. There is a reason behind everything good and bad a dog does (and what we as humans do as well) & Elevated Canine breaks that down to you flawlessly. Oscar has been an awesome trainer and my dog enjoys our training sessions with Oscar. Most importantly, the dog is not the only one getting training but I am as well. Oscar (owner) is amazing with dogs! Since I am a first time owner of a Rottweiler, I wanted to make sure that I raised her properly. I'm so glad I found Oscar to help me through that. It's obvious he knows exactly what he is doing. My relationship with my pet is 100% better, whether we are taking walks or at home. Just finished our 5th class with canine academy and had a few private lessons as well. Cannot recommend them highly enough! Excellent experience from puppy pre-school to advanced obedience. Some of why we will continue to recommend and attend classes with them-1) Our Presa Canarios were welcomed, this breed is large, protective and at most times reactive. The staff are well educated on the breed and their traits, our dogs were never punished for their "natural" reactions to things but we learned how to work with them. We were new to this breed and feel so confident in what we have learned at Canine Academy 2) They are HONEST. Good and what needs improvement, you will constantly get feedback and they will work with dog and owner to correct and find solutions that work for you and your pup. 3) Lots is positive reinforcement and information on how to continue what you learn in class to bring home and into the community.I can't wait to see what other advanced classes they offer to get our dogs involved in! Honey had a problem with most other days that we met on walk, especially little dogs in coats. She would growl, snap and pull on the lead. Mina looked after Honey when we went on holiday and we returned to a different dog. Now walks are a pleasant experience. She plays nice with other dogs, walks to heel and is generally a happier dog. Our male German Shepherd was an energic puppy that needed some discipline. After looking around the LA area for trainers, Oscar at Elevated Canine came highly recommended. I bought a Cane Corso puppy from a breeder in Las Vegas who recommended Oscar at Elevated Canine Academy. I interviewed other trainers but I didn't feel the same connection as I did with Oscar. I went with my breeders recommendation and gave my boy to Oscar for a 10wk board and train. When Oscar delivered Capo, my puppy, back to me I was shocked. Capo was off leashed trained. I took him to the chiropractor and then to work the next day. Everyone couldn't believe how obedient this your puppy was. Oscar has since become one of our closest friends. I purchased a second Cane Corso and Oscar personally picked the puppy for me. Oscar has trained both of my boys. People go nuts when we take them out. When I first heard about Oscar I was sceptical, I not a person who has alot of trust in people, but my breeder recommended him. All I have to say now is, Wow! my dog Hannibal wasq like a new dog when I got him back. He did obedience and off leash training.It was almost like he was medicated, he followed my every command, and I wasn't use to that. Oscar and his team did so well with him. It has been almost a year and no regress. Hannibal is a male intact Cane Corso prior to going to Elecated Canine Academy he had no training. My favorite thing is when I take him to the dog park and when sometimes the dogs get into it and get all crazy, I tell Hannibal to place and he stays by my side and waits for my ok to continue to play. Lucy was a nightmare puppy who was so food motivated, it became very clear that we were in over our heads.  Oscar helped arrange transportation (in AZ) and worked with her for a month.  It didn't end there, Oscar worked to train us!  We gained a new perspective on why Lucy was behaving the way she was and learned how to properly work with our dog.  Lucy now attends book signings and events as large as 10,000 people and doesn't even flinch.  We invested in our dog and it was worth it!
