My experience with Watford Alarms is one I would recommend if you are having a new system put in. They promptly came to advise me as to what equipment I needed and where the sensors would be best placed for maximum security. I was very pleased with the installers who were quick to install and told me how to operate the system in detail and answered all my questions professionally before they left.I was really happy with their after-care service as two of my sensors happened to go off with the force of the wind and needed adjusting. It was no trouble at all for them to come out on both occasions to put it right and I have confidence that they will do so if I have any other problems. More...

My elderly sister recently used Watford Alarms to install a new burglar alarm to her house. They explained clearly the options available to her to meet her requirements. Once selected, and a price agreed an engineer visited within a few days and was prompt and worked very professionally to install her new system. The engineer explained how to operate the new system to her and said to phone them if she had any problems. The system is very simple to use and almost idiot free. Having recently moved from East London to a quiet suburban close in Essex, I was finding it very difficult to adjust from my London mentality, that everybody that passes you in the street is a potential threat. Neighbors, friends and family had reported burglaries in their areas and I certainly did not want to become complacent in thinking that because I was now living in a nice area the likelihood of our house being targeted was reduced. So I contacted Watford Alarms having found their details in an internet search. Lloyd Collins (owner) is a very professional, personable,precise, knowledgeable individual when it comes to security systems. He has many years of experience within the security industry and was quickly able to help me identify the difference between your standard DIY basic alarm system that most tend to buy and a decent insurance approved and accredited security system that would surely give me and my family the peace of mind and security we were looking for. Knowing absolutely nothing about alarm and camera systems, Lloyd invested a great deal of time in finding out what my concerns were so that he could identify my security needs. He was very patient with me and was extremely readily available always at the end of the phone or email ready to answer any questions I had. With Lloyd's guidance I was quickly able to weed out all of the dross that I would have likely purchased from some of the well known brands that are on the market and purchase a decent, reliable alarm and camera security system that is supported by an SSAIB certificate and therefore is recognised by my insurance company with a reputable dependable firm that offer me good after sales support too. The gentlemen that came to install my system were very friendly and took time to explain how the system worked, it's features and benefits and the additional extras I could get with the system if I wanted to upgrade elements of it at a later date. Watford alarms is a one man band who call up fitters to do jobs for him,
Lloyd the owner know nothing about CCTV and ALARMS.
He has let so many customers down, some are even thinking of taking him to court i have evidence of this.
I should know i worked for him.
He also don't pay the fitters who work for him.
He is not a person to be trusted.

My regular installer was not available and Peter offered his services. Sadly he is not as knowledgeable as he pretends and does not finish jobs. Job 1 install and configure 4 camera system. Result four cameras installed, one Not Working, system Not configured, unusable. Job 2 Install and configure 7 camera system. Five cameras were installed, Two Not Working. Neither jobs were completed. I had to get my regular installer to rectify and complete both jobs. Peter still has in his possession approximately £500 worth of stock belonging to the company. This could be a matter for the Courts to resolve.

"I had gone away for Christmas but on the Sunday evening I received a phone call to say I had been burgled. I returned the following day and contacted Watford Alarms. Lloyd explained and told me the best alarm to have installed. He said that they were fully booked that week and that they would be able to fit it after the holidays. I think he felt my fear of being unprotected. He said he would try his best and sort something out. An hour later he told me the installers would be around on Thursday morning at 10. Bang on time the men arrived and by noon everything was installed. The installers were polite and efficient. Thank you to Lloyd and staff I was able to return to my Christmas holiday.
