I chose Watertight homes based on great reviews. They were very busy and couldnt fit me in immediately - always a good sign if they're in demand in my opinion - but Matthew made this clear up front before I booked and I was in no rush. His team were very punctual, polite and incredibly tidy (moping the floors, and washing down the drive after completing the job).I wasnt entirely satisfied however with part of the plasterwork on a door arch (but could understand why) however when I rang Matthew about this he came within 30 minutes to inspect the job. He wanted me to be entirely happy and sent his team back within 2 days to replaster the whole arch at no extra cost. Let me start by saying that I wouldn't necessarily say that biggest is best when it comes to me deciding what companies to use for building works. I have used Watertight Homes for various works at our property, by using Mathew and his team I was able to be in constant contact day or night and even weekends, Mathew is pretty much contactable 24/7 and this is what I liked more about using this company, the personal touch. Watertight homes have a good reputation and so all their workmen seem to be aware of this and so make a special effort to help keep everything tidy and clean down at the end of each day. Very professional and helpful from start to finish and the damp proofing work was completed to a high standard. Watertight went over and above expectations by identifying an issue with woodworm and replacing some skirting boards without additional charge. Very happy to recommend.

Brought current house in April 2016 - new it had some damp in the cellar but not until we moved in did we discover how bad it was. Matthew (proprietor) came round and undertook a survey and talked through our options. What I liked best was that he immediately recognised that what we wanted was a dry space for "rough storage" (i.e. not living space) so offered a service based on that rather than pushing a full drainage and pump solution. What we got was an waterproof eggbox on the walls allowing water to trickle to the floor then spread out over the floor to evaporate. In addition the ventilation has been increased. I cannot rate the guys who did the work high enough - in particular the way they cleared up after. Work was done mid July 2016 and appears to be working very well at current time. More...

Matt and the gang have risen to the challenge - a very damp dining room in an old (1750's) house in Cawood. Completely tanked out the room with damp proof membrane, new plasterboard and skim. Also protected the outside of the house with deep penetrating water repellant.Everyone was polite, professional and on-time (or early!). Work went beyond what I was expecting and was performed to a very high standard. Best of all, they cleaned up after themselves!! Very happy and would certainly recommend. More...
