You should hire a professional videographer for much the same reason that you use a professional wedding venue, dress supplier or limousine company. We have the skills and the experience.
We‘ve done it many times before, our product has been tested by previous customers, we‘re insured, we use quality equipment (with back-ups if something goes wrong)… We know what we‘re doing

What do you love most about your job?
Meeting people and making movies. When filming a wedding I am recording the story of a hugely important day in the life's of 2 people - a huge honour. So its conveying the story of the day onto film - capturing the emotions, the expressions, the fun and the serious bit. Each wedding is very different and the difference is the people and the venue - this is what makes it unique and personal to the individuals. Its a memory that will be shared throughout your life - an important part of your life story - a moment in time that will last forever.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I previously worked in the media department for a large corporate company for over 20 years, but it was a time to use that experience and love of film for my own personal business. Watch The Birdie was set up in 2005 and within 4 years won the VOWS award for wedding videography and since then I have filmed on average 50 weddings per year, so there is little that will catch me off guard, with the result being a polished movie of the wedding day
Why should our clients choose you?
a safe pair of hands - I've been filming weddings for over 10 years so I'm ready for whatever happens - although each wedding is very different they follow a similar procedure. enthusiasm - loving what I do makes it the best job in the world. Being the sole creator of the film, allows me to be, not just the cameraman, but the director, the producer, the editor and of course the 'best boy' (ie gaffer)
