What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
At the start of every project it is important we know the exact requirements of a website or graphic design project. With a website we would need to know if any features are required, above and beyond normal pages of text. This may come in the form of products, an online shop, online payments, quotation forms, postcode lookups etc. These are essentially the back bone to the project and allow us to give you a more accurate cost for the project.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Key to all projects is to establish if our client has any branding. This comes in the form of a logo and/or colours, which are required at the start of any design process. We also need to know any specific requirements a client may have with regards to features on their website, such as online payments, quotation forms, or product databases etc.
What do you love most about your job?
With both graphic design and web design the most enjoyable thing s starting with a blank canvas and creating a media for our client to exhibit or sell their products or services. Improving and developing that media over time either via offline marketing or online marketing such as SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is also hugely satisfying.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working for over ten years in graphic design and web design and development, we decided in 2008 that we could offer a better and more cost effective service to our clients through our own business Vista Design UK Ltd
