They are not specialists for small businesses, regardless of the packages they advertise. The names of the people I was dealing with changed almost every month. I constantly had to chase for information. Tax returns, PAYE calculations and Payroll calculations were always wrong, which left me to correct their mistakes. When you're running a business you hire accountants to take away the pain and the complicated jargon of the HMRC, to make it easier for you as a business owner to run your business. What do you love most about your job?
At Vantage Accounting we're an owner-managed local business ourselves, so we love to help other local businesses and individuals to make the most of their money and take the stress out of accounting.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Well, in truth, I didn't - my boss did! He wanted to create a new way of working for people looking for accounting services - fixed fees, no jargon and a focus on service. And he's achieved it!

We’ll tick all the ‘compliance’ boxes for you, producing your accounts, completing your annual Self Assessment and submitting all returns to both Companies House and HMRC accurately and on time. If you’re just setting up your owner managed business and aren’t sure if Limited is the right way to go, we can advise you and organise company formation, and we can help with bookkeeping and payroll too.
Perhaps more importantly, we’ll help you structure and run your business in the most tax efficient way possible, to ensure that you’re maximising your profits. Tax returns and tax advice
We are professional certified tax accountants, with offices in Dorset and Hampshire. We will do more than just fill in the gaps on your tax return. Even for a service that is fairly straightforward, we always ensure that you receive advice on tax efficiency, and explain everything without jargon, with a professional and personal service.
We will also be there for you if you are chosen by HMRC for a Self Assessment enquiry. If you are selected, we will act for you at any meetings and deal directly with HMRC for you.
You can pay monthly to spread out the cost of your tax return, and you can get in touch with any questions or advice you need throughout the year.
