What do you love most about your job?
Humans. People are fascinating. As a dyslexic ex plant mechanic I love to understand how things work and the most interesting thing in all organisations are its people. We are often surrounded by 'hidden high performers' who think their contribution and ideas are not worth putting in the ring because they have been told they are daft that often that they believe it. Getting these hidden high performers to shine is me at my happiest.
However, the standard answer I give is "The thing I love most is understanding new and existing businesses and helping them to develop new programmes to develop their organisation and teams" which again is true but the human element is key to understanding businesses.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Frustration! I have only worked for large PLC businesses previously and change can be painfully slow which stifles innovation. By the time an idea as passed through its feasibility study and implementation plan, staff have left or a small agile competitor has pipped you to the post. Compliance / H&S is also a standard excuse not to get stuff done and since starting the business we have proven that if you simply get on with the job in hand whilst assessing and managing risk, everyone does better.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are friendly, non-judgmental and technically competent, identifying which component in a complex machine needs fine-tuning has been part of our role for our whole career. We will avoid platitudes and are not from a sales background so if we think we are not the right fit for you we will be clear from the start.
