Great teacher and really nice guy as well. Nice relaxed style. Takes his time know your level and songs/style you like and want to learn. Knows his stuff across the board - songs, techniques and theory, backed up by a nice set up in this guitar grotto! the important thing is lessons are enjoyable and you be playing the songs you love in no time. thoroughly recommend. I've been having lessons from Tom for just over a year now after playing for around ten years without having had any formal lessons, and Tom has been brilliant at finding my level and pushing me to learn songs that I would have been too intimidated to attempt on my own. His friendly, patient manner and excellent knowledge of theory mean I feel like I'm constantly making progress. More...

My playing has improved and my musical understanding has expanded. This has enabled me to progress with another hobby, songwriting. If you're looking for guitar lessons, look no further... I've been with Tom for a fair while now. I would recommend him to anybody and frequently do. His love of the guitar and his desire to pass that on defines everything he does. His ability to engage with people no matter what their frame of mind means that I walk away from every lesson thinking 'that was great' and looking forward to the next session. More...

Although I'm not Tom's student? I am aware of how he teaches, and I've noticed he's very patient, listens to what students want, and delivers his lessons with fun, excitement, and lots of enthusiasm.

He's also very good teacher with children, and I would recommend him to anyone.?

Tom is an excellent guitar teacher who is not only a commited musician but also a genuinely nice guy. Tom's biggest asset is the genuine interest that he shows in people. This is reflected in his lessons where students get excellent results quickly.

In addition Tom's dedication to teaching and providing quiality lessons is shown in the great facilities that he has. He essentially dug a new room in the basement of his house in order to provide even better lessons and kitted it out with the latest equipment to enhance the learning of students.

All in all Tom is the kind of guitar tutor that I wish I had when I was younger and I wholeheartedly recommend him to others looking to take the next step in progressing with guitar.

Q&As

Seeing my students develop in to the guitar players they want to be is why I teach guitar. It is the most enjoyable and rewarding job I have had the priviledge to do. I have seen how the learning of the guitar (and other instruments) can change peoples lives and give them a rewarding hobby or the potential of a new career.

I started my business during the last recession. While Jobless and facing a tired and unfulfilling job interviews, I decided to set my self up as a guitar teacher and try out a new vocation, which gave me the rewards and freedom I was looking for. I set up my business with a small government loan, I searched out one of the UK's best mentors who would help me become a professional muscian. It has turned out to be the best career decision I could have made and I love it.

This is a full time profession, so my students recieve a professional who is only interestred to their musical development. I provide a dedicated studio where all lessons are given. Most importantly I focus on the indvidual, I do not give out generic advice and I give students the best techniques to help them play. Everyone learns at their own pace. I do not pressurise students, unless I need to, lessons are meant to be as much fun as possible, without compromising the standards of teaching and learning.
