How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
You can tell if your loft is suitable for a conversion if the ridge height is 2.1 metres or more. You can get this measurement by coming of the top of your existing joist to the bottom of your ridge.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Start by discussing your needs for the loft and what is most suitable. We then get the design into place ready for process after you have made sure you are 100% happy with everything. We then can start the build. Start with steel and then floor joist. After the floor structure is in place we then start dormer structure or up and over structure dependant on the loft itself. Once all structure is in place we then insulate using the suitable insulation in the correct place. Then we plaster bored and plaster. We now finalise the process with 2nd fix carpentry. All roofing works will be getting done on and off whether permitted.
