Terrific place for a wedding, the rooms are gorgeous for any size of event. We stayed in one of the cottages in the grounds, very period and interesting. No wonder Boris Johnson chose this place to meet the Irish Prime Minister as its absolutely fabulous - who needs London when you have Thornton Manor, just great, made us feel royal. More...

I cannot recommend David Burgess highly enough to anyone looking for top class entertainment! Right from the start, he was very polite, friendly and professional. He arrived at the venue early and when he started working the room the guests were absolutely amazed! His magic tricks were just mind blowing! They were original and no one had seen them done before. He was very funny and had a lot of banter with the guests which they loved! He really made the day and everyone was talking about him and his fantastic magic for days! He is absolutely worth his fee, he made our event so special and so much fun! Would book him again without a doubt! Fantastic! More...

We got married here on the 18th October in the Manor House. I can’t even begin to explain how incredible all the staff are. Everything ran so smoothly, there were no hiccups or issues, and the staff were so attentive. Even down to the finer details like our supervisor ensuring our room was clean, curtains were shut and the heaters were on so when we went to bed after our incredible wedding day the room was perfect. My husband and daughter and I recently visited a wedding in the Walled Garden Marquee. It was a beautiful sunny day so we were able to sit outside in the surrounding areas of the venue. It was very accommodating to have the separate prayer area in the venue, and the staff even knew which way those wanting to pray needed to face. Once the drinks reception was over, the rest of the marquee was unveiled - we didn’t expect the venue to be as open and airy as it was with it being a marquee, but we were blown away. The room was filled with flowers and the ceiling was lit up with fairy lights. The staff were great and nothing we asked was too much. They even went above and beyond, the day we got married it was a hot day and all of the guests began to get warm when we started our meal. Wow. What can I say. I am absolutely blown away with this magical venue. My partner and I had our wedding in the Lakeside Marquee on 19/07/2019 and we can hand on heart say it was the wedding day of our dreams. We can not praise the staff enough, from our first viewing of the venue right up until our last guest left we were well looked after by every member of the TM team. Nothing that we asked of was too much, everyone went one step further for us. The caterers on offer were great - we went with Olive Tree who exceeded our expectations. After our civil ceremony, we went to have our photographs taken at some stunning hidden locations on the estate. We booked the boat to return to the marquee on - none of our guests expected it as they were all on the outside decking area and could see us cruising towards them. It was a surprise for them and a memorable experience for Lee and I! Lee and Tom from the bar company were great - they created his and hers cocktails picked by us to be served to our guests throughout the day and night. I could go on and on about how amazing our day was but words can not do this place justice. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the best day of our lives!!!!!
