I am a bridalwear designer and regularly use Ban The Night to harness the romantic and glamorous style I portray in my wedding gowns and corsets. I highly appreciate the professionalism that was offered by the lead photographer, Tom, throughout all of my company's photo shoots. He is very reliable. His style is unique, cinematic and timeless. The production quality is brilliant which is so important to me as a bridal designer. He also photographed my cousin's Afghan bridal prep and the photos are exceptionally beautiful. Thank you. Thanks to Tom for the gorgeous photos of us with our puppy and cat. He was so patient with them. So professional and makes you feel at ease. I would highly recommend Tom for excellent quality photos. The photos look so natural which is what we wanted. He also did some family shoots the other year which were again a very high standard. Thanks so much Tom! More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
For events and live performance based work, much like weddings, a lot is down to timing - making sure that I'm in the right place at the right time, which has been developed through experience. For portraits I draw on a quote from the excellent war and portrait photographer Giles Duly, who says that he doesn't take great portraits, but they are given to him by his subjects.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
This depends on the project. For events, I'd ask questions about timings, if there are to be any speeches/presentations, what the photos will be used for and if there are any specific shots the client needs. Similarly with portraits, it would be questions about timings, locations, use of photos, if there is anything that are specifically conscious about - generally to make the client feel as relaxed as possible.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety of what I do is something that I love about my job. I've been fortunate enough to have photographed people from all over the world, including some celebrities and supermodels, and have worked in events for some global companies - all this has added to my style, experience and helped improved me and my work. The creativity is another huge part of why I love doing what I do, seeing my or other peoples ideas develop.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have wanted to run my own business to make the most of my talent and skills, and to be able to work with flexibility and variety.
Why should our clients choose you?
A wealth of experience and a unique approach means that I'm able to be flexible and professional, whilst making everything easy and stress free for my clients.
