What makes a great website?
Design, UX, colour schemes, and making sure you have the right CTA's in the right place, and all with the right processes and systems in play.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What websites do they like and not like? What's their brand colours and brand fonts? What are the services or products being sold or offered and how are these being delivered? Are there any guarantees?
Describe your creative process.
We'd look at the websites the client likes and doesn't like; understand more about their brands personality - e.g. is it playful and lively or professional and clean looking in appearance. We'd create wireframes, agree these off and then we'd build on a spare URL we use; so as not to affect the live site.
Once the client is happy with the new design, we'd switch things over.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
What websites do they like and not like? What's their brand colours and brand fonts? What are the services or products being sold or offered and how are these being delivered? Are there any guarantees?
What do you love most about your job?
We love being creative and building websites that you can look at and just admire! We also love staying ahead of the game and learning the latest techniques that lead to better conversions.
Having run my own sports event company for many years, I began to learn to build websites as I needed to make changes quickly, for example, price rises and new events. And using standard website designers and developers took far too long and cost too much money.
These days there are some amazing technologies out there to use that makes it all so simple and easy to do; and I will show you how to make these changes and what to do if you don't already know.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been running my own businesses for many years now.
I enjoy supporting others and seeing the results of my work in play; and also making sure businesses are not choosing the wrong technologies and ways as there's a lot of poor developers and designers out there using outdated tech.

I work using Zoom mainly. I can also use Skype, and Google Meet, but I have a premium Zoom account so will send links and you have to just jump on!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I've not had to make any changes as I work remotely. When I did meet with people we simply reverted to Zoom. Although it would be lovely to meet again in cafes!
