Structural Defect Survey
A structural defect survey is different to a buildings survey. We will assess specific structural defects such as cracking, foundation movement or roof alterations and can provide advice on the cause, severity and required remedial actions. "Structural Survey" is a term that used to refer to a more detailed residential buildings survey but these do not constitute a structural defect survey which require assessment by a qualified engineer, the term is still used today. To avoid confusion we only offer structural defect surveys that consider only structural aspects of a building. Structural defect surveyors are suitable for satisfying insurers and mortgage providers with regard to observed defects and subsidence claims. We do not comment on general property condition such as waterproofing details, internal finishes or services which would usually be carried out by a RICS chartered building surveyor.
