Hiring Gordon was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! EVERYONE who sees our photographs cannot believe how beautiful they are - and every time we look at them, we have the biggest smiles ever. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The trick is to be relaxed, feel relaxed with the person you are photographing and in that spaces capture the naturalness of whats happening. To me people look their best when they are relaxed and being themselves.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want from your wedding photos? Theres no right or wrong answer but everyone has their own visions and ideas. I love to listen to peoples wedding plans and get a sense of how (and if) I can create the images that are right for them.
What do you love most about your job?
Its such an honour to be with people on one of the most important and joyful days of their lives. I'm passionate about preserving the wonderful memories of the day for my couples.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Some friends asked me to photograph their wedding some years ago and it was such a pleasure.
I loved being so involved with them on the day and capturing the joy of the event for them to keep forever. Afterwards they were so happy with the photos which inspired me to offer my services to other couples too.
Why should our clients choose you?
You can trust me to capture the joy, beauty and emotion of your wedding day. I'll be be a calm and unobtrusive presence throughout the preparations and ceremony (my camera is silent). Then after I'll blend with your guests and get great shots of everyone celebrating. Well get some great couple shots of you both that beautifully suit your vibe and how you would like to remember your Big Day.
I'll send you some great images (10 or so) a day or two after the wedding so you can enjoy some images almost straight away. Then gradually I'll create the online gallery over the next weeks. I'll let you know when I upload new images which my couples tell me is a really enjoyable part of the post-wedding wind down.
I think its important to go with your gut feeling and hire the photographer you feel most comfortable with.
