In an uncertain world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, lost and unable to cope. Life can quickly get on top of you. Each day is a struggle and your negative thoughts can get out of control. These emotions can lead to anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems, sleeping and eating issues or even suicidal thoughts.
Maybe there are issues you’ve been struggling with for some time or perhaps something has happened that has thrown you off course.
You don’t need to get through this on your own. I am here to walk beside you and support you in getting your life back on track. I believe that talking really does have the power to transform and change how you feel. Together we can work through whatever problems you are facing and help you feel better. I won’t judge or tell you what to do. We can look at strategies that can help in both the long and short term and slowly unpack where things went wrong. With the right support and a safe space to explore your issues, life can be happier and more fulfilling.
My name is Liz and I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I have a postgraduate diploma in therapeutic counselling and I work integratively which means that I draw on a variety of approaches in my counselling practice. With a background in teaching and parent to four children, I am particularly interested in working with families and young people. My counselling journey began as a volunteer counsellor for Childline and has included working in schools and in a local charity for women. For me, counselling is a vocation not a job and I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. I hope I can make a difference in yours.
I offer face-to-face consultations at the East Molesey branch of The Practice. I also offer telephone and Zoom sessions. My fee is £50 per 50 minute session. I offer all potential clients a free initial telephone consultation in confidence.
