My sister and I visited today with our children. The staff were so accommodating to my children’s dietary needs nothing was too much trouble. The food we had was beautiful (definitely recommend the steak and ale pie). The children’s meals were massive and they all enjoyed them. Lovely customer service very polite staff … but that was about all was good Unfortunately. The food wasn’t responsible cheap to end up frozen! ! 12.99 Asda lasagna and chips . My 14 year old sons said is chicken was very dry, like was just warmed up in microwave. Bill came to £80 for 4 and can’t believe it all came straight out freezer for that price ! More...

We had a family meal here for my daughters birthday last night. The staff were amazing, they set up all the banners and balloons etc beforehand for us, all we had to do was take it to them! ! The food was lovely, generous portions and all brought out hot at the same time and there were 16 of us!! The desserts are amazing!! Nothing was too much trouble and the staff made such a difference to us all having an amazing family get together, which we hadn’t had for such a long time!! Just visited the mountain air as a party of 10, due to COVID we couldn’t be on the same table but totally understandable, 2 of us had the 35oz rump, others had the smaller steaks. 35oz Rump Steak, it is a beast of a steak, but surprisingly enough not many people don’t finish it.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Trial and error, find out what is most popular and also trying to cater for most peoples needs and dietary requirements.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people happy and hearing them say how much they enjoyed their meal or that they are stuffed ?
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was brought up in the industry by my parents, but went off to be an insurance advisor for many many years, then came back to help them, and now I still here running The Mount myself.
Why should our clients choose you?
We like to make everyone’s visit as enjoyable as possible.

We offer a takeaway service and the menu for this is usually posted on our Facebook page as it changes frequently.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We still have hand sanitizer stations around the building and we also have an anti covid fogging machine, which is used at night to give The Mount a deep clean, in addition to the extra cleaning our team do during the day.

We offer a baby shower service for appox 20 people.
We can decorate and host games etc for you and your guests, then your guests are welcome to order meals to enjoy if they want.
Gender Reveal
Get together meal for a gender reveal. We decorate the room for you and can host some games.
Your guests can enjoy a meal before find out if it’s going to be a boy or a girl.
Weddings & Engagements
We can decorate the room for you and can offer a bespoke menu for you and your guests.
