We are based in Ipswich, Suffolk, but regularly nip across all of Suffolk, Essex and London to cater for some wonderful people.
Our job is to give you exceptional food and attentive, personal service. Your very own catering team.
Each and every menu is considered, dishes have been tried and tested, seasonality is prioritised, local produce is used (when it’s the best we can get) and above all we serve tasty food.

We have a rule here at The Main Ingredient HQ; we understand the pressures when organizing your wedding, so we make it easier.
Browse our wedding menus, value is a big part of our offer and that’s achieved with attention to detail, sourcing well and using our skills to get the best for you.

Talk to us if you need help with finding suppliers for cakes or flowers, chair covers or photography we recommend a few chosen suppliers.
Private Dinners
Always interesting, our menus can be tailored to your event, a family celebration, Sunday lunch carved at your table or an intimate dinner for two or a group of friends visiting for a winter shoot followed by a tasting menu with matching wine.
Our team can service your dinner, alternatively, if it’s a night off for you. We will deliver your menu then come back and collect the washing up. Perfect for holiday time, no hassle catering delivered to your holiday cottage.

Events
Your corporate events are an area we specialise in. Understanding quick turnaround times, your deadlines and for us to impress when you need us too. Quality and value without exception.
Networking events, breakfast meetings canapé receptions, boardroom meetings, banquets, buffets and bbq’s.
If you need us to cater a week long exhibition, we can do it. Talk to us.

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
By talking through with our clients their wants and needs to make their events both enjoyable and memorable for them and their guests. The menus we have created are purely a starting point and from these we can build a truly bespoke menu for their event.
What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about catering for any event, as corny as it may sound, is seeing the smiles on people faces and at the end of the event, hearing that everything was perfect!
