The Lily Pad were literally unbelievable from start to finish when it came to our wedding flowers. Gemma is a fabulously creative and knowledgeable florist but is also a genuinely gorgeous person. We had strong ideas and wanted our flowers to be tropical, but still have a romantic feel and she understood what we wanted and implemented it beyond our wildest dreams. We had a problem in the week of the wedding where one of our core flowers was unavailable and not only did Gemma come up with a solution, it looked better than our original plan whilst still fitting with the theme. Definately THE best florist in and around Stroud. Not being a particuarly 'flowery' person, I initially approached this aspect of our wedding with very little knowledge and probably the least enthusiasm of all of the aspects to plan. After meeting Gemma, who was able to provide so many wonderful ideas without being at all pushy, I actually became excited about the flowers and spent hours googling different ideas. Gemmas communication was outstanding (she never once complained about my constant e-mails). Throughout the whole process Gemma was professional and supportive. Her organisation was amazing, particularly as we had lots of extra bits and pieces to decorate. She produced a wonderful array of flowers which looked natural yet matched our colour scheme perfectly. She managed to create exactly what I wanted in all aspects from the pew ends to the table arrangements and, as for my bouquet and hair flowers, well I just felt amazing, so much so, I hardly put down my bouquet all day! Picking someone to do my wedding flowers was tough, I knew exactly what I was after and something I really thought no one else would understand but Gemma did! ! She did an amazing job, she included every crazy idea I had in my mind and created me the most beautiful winter bouquet which included pine ones and specific flowers I had asked for and even created a flower crown that matched perfectly!
