The flowers at my daughter's recent wedding were beautiful and received countless compliments from the guests. The bouquets and table arrangements were so appropriate - natural and incredibly pretty - not easy to achieve at the beginning of March.
Emily put so much work into the coordination of blooms and foliage and using milk churns for the arrangements in the room used for the ceremony was inspired. Thank you so much, Emily, you have real floristry talent!

Emily did the most amazing job of decorating our wedding venue and creating gorgeous bouquets (my mum cried when she saw it). She has such a good understanding of flowers and colours and was able to create exactly what we wanted and more. Very helpful in the lead up and on the day, thank you so much!!!!! Xx More...

Emily, thank you so much for the beautiful flowers at my wedding on Saturday. They really were fantastic and even more colourful, creative and beautiful than I hoped to imagine. The buttonholes and posies were so pretty and unique and the aisle decorations, milk urns and table arrangements were stunning. The combination of different colours with the eucalyptus added in was so visually pleasing.

Emily really listened to my ideas and we created a pin interest board of different images. Emily was reliable and easy to communicate with. The whole planning process was very smooth and enjoyable.

I've had so many compliments from family and friends already. I would highly recommend Emily for your wedding flowers or any other event.

Thanks Emily!

Choosing Emily as our wedding florist was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we could have ever made. From day one she was so helpful and informative and nothing was too much of an ask. She was always there on the other end of the phone to answer any questions, big or small, that we had. I knew she was going to do an amazing job but the flowers were even more beautiful than I could have possibly imagined. In fact the first time I cried on the day was when she delivered my amazing bouquets! All of our guests complemented them and our photographer said they were the most beautiful he had ever seen! Thank you again for all your hard work and dedication and I would not hesitate to recommend you to any other bride xx More...

Q&As

Getting to meet wonderful people or couples who are planning an event or about to embark on the most important day of their lives and being a part of those plans and there excitement - Being able to make there dreams a reality.
The fact that every client / brief is different.

Hi I'm Emily, an independent florist working from a small workshop at the bottom of my garden in Frenchay Village, or when more space is needed frequenting a larger studio in my Mother and Father's garden in Westbury-on-Trym.

Having grown up in Bristol, at school I was very creative and Art, Drama and Design and Technology were my favourite subjects. At 15 my first Saturday job was for Diana Porter on Cotham Hill and being surrounded by contemporary jewellery designers such as Diana, it only elevated my interest in design. Whether it was Sewing, Painting, Jewellery or Flowers my passion was unstoppable. After completing a foundation course in Art and Design at Bower Ashton unfortunately my confidence wavered.

After Art Collage I took a slightly different direction and pursued a career in property. However I continued to have an underlying urge to do something creative... on hearing my Father give his FOB speech at our wedding, he lovingly reminded me that I had a 'unique and very personal eye for colour and design, always creating something interesting, pretty with a modern twist', this was when I decided to start pursuing my love of flowers and design.

What started as a part time hobby creating arrangements for friends and family, after a lot of encouragement and support in 2015 THE LANE FLORISTRY was realised.

Our aim at THE LANE FLORISTRY is to create simple, elegant, affordable arrangements with beautiful flowers whilst ensuring our couples and clients are involved in every step of the process.
