A fantastic teacher. My son loves going for his lessons and had made fantastic progress. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

My son attends both 1:1 sessions and the Leighton Buzzard club. I am amazed at the speed he has picked it up, Rory’s approach to teaching has inspired him to continue to learn with rory teaching them a basic song from the very first session giving him a big sense of achievement. Rory manages to teach a range of abilities at the same time ensuring each child has an individual approach that is suited to their level while engaging them to play as a group. Would highly recommend both 1:1s and the club for all abilities. More...

The Guitar Ninja was a great choice for my 6 year old as Rorz is super patient and relaxed with him and makes sure that he keeps things fun and different whilst he is getting to grips with the basics. Rorz has a clear passion for music which comes across in his lessons and he tailors his approach to meet each student. My son is currently trying to master the ukulele but is already looking forward to moving up to be a proper guitar ninja when his hands are a bit bigger! More...

Great teacher! Started taking lessons last April and I've enjoyed every one to one lesson I've had.Very knowledgeable and has broken down everything ive needed him to so that I understand fully. The grading system is very well structured and you always have something to aim for which is great. Highly recommend!! More...

I had never held a guitar before when I went to my first guitar club and I was pretty nervous but Rory calmed me down and was so patient explaining the basics a few times until they started to sink in and even though I was a complete beginner Ive never felt out of place amongst the other members, everyone has so much fun and no matter what skill level learn something each time. I've also never been made to feel bad for practicing between clubs, although maybe that's not a good thing :-D More...

I remember when I first started to learn guitar. I tried to teach myself stuff from books (yeah, I’m old and YouTube wan’t a thing) but it was so easy to develop bad techniques and with no expert there to correct them they would easily become habits that were hard to break. Then I went to a teacher and he was great but I never really had enough direction (it was hard to track my progression) and practice became something I *had* to do rather than wanted to do. I look at how Rory has created The Guitar Ninja training and it’s great to see how he has incorporated 1-2-1 lessons with great online support to keep you interested outside of lessons AND the chance to join his guitar club jamming sessions so that, no matter what ability level you are at, you can be part of creating music of a greater level. The Guitar Ninja really has made learning guitar way more awesome than ever before! More...

Q&As

Seeing my students pass through their Guitar Ninja strap grades. The pride in their eyes and those who come to support them.

I had been teaching guitar part time for 12 years and started as people requested that I teach them. I realised I had a good mindset to teach as I had also assisted in Judo, Free running and Gymnastics classes. Guitar has always been my number one love so once I finished my engineering qualifications I decided to take music on full time and have my engineering as a back up.

I make lessons as fun as possible whilst ensuring you still take something new away from each lesson. You will always have something to work towards. I will adapt my lessons to fit your style of music as I believe the passion is the key to learning fast. If you like what you're learning you won't think of it as practice, you'll not want to put the guitar down.
