Gardening

Jason does a good job and tells me what he is doing and what I would like to be done. He does not push for work and he works within your budget.

Jason Is a truly inspirational designer. He genuinely wants to create magical spaces, overcoming any hurdles in his way. His plant portfolio is exquisite and was generally great to deal with. Thoroughly recommended More...

Q&As

Getting to know my clients and understanding their requirements for their outdoor space... and then delivering a garden that captivates and inspires them.

I also appreciate the positive feedback from clients, many of whom still stay in contact after the garden is built.

I love the creative process!

Having enjoyed a fruitful career as a property solicitor for 10 years, I wanted to do something I was passionate about and involved being outdoors. Gardens are healing for the soul, and I believe in creating things that bring life to others. This includes building a business based on integrity.

After the 2009 recession, I went to Oxford and retrained in Landscape & Garden Design. I was taught by 5-time RHS gold medallist Duncan Heather, who himself trained under the eminent international designer and author, the late John Brookes MBE.

I adopt a very personal approach to each garden design project, which involves close collaboration with you in order to create a unique outdoor living space that will continue to hold special meaning in years to come.

I listen more than I speak, and will ask key questions to help you distinguish between the 'Must Haves' and the 'What On Earth Was I Thinking??'

I keep up-to-date with relevant design trends and legislation. I can guide you through your legal obligations under the Construction (Design Management) Regulations which came into force on 6th April 2015.

It is important that both parties are comfortable working with each other. I do not mind being told 'no' (although 'no thanks' sounds much kinder). This is what I need from all my clients :

~ clarity and decisiveness
~ that you thoughtfully consider any advice/ideas given
~ we can work with your own builder/landscaper, but if they are not sufficiently competent and require regular instruction from us then we must charge for our time
~ prompt payment of invoices. I prefer to spend my time designing beautiful gardens, instead of chasing debts
~ if any difficulty arises, please tell me sooner rather than later so that we can resolve matters quickly
~ and finally.... if you are happy with our service, please tell us! Filling up our book of 'Old & New Testaments' reminds us why we love garden design.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
Jason Loh

Definitely! We can hold video consultations and conduct desktop surveys/assessments. We also support neurodiversity and are happy to make any necessary adjustments so that you can be as comfortable as possible with the design process.

All staff are up-to-date with vaccinations and follow the current government and NHS advice. We will take Covid tests where necessary, especially if you let us know in advance that you are clinically vulnerable.
