Had the pleasure of trying some of there cakes today, and all I can say is fantastic. I know where I’m going next time I need something with that WOW factor for a special occasion.

Louise made and designed our amazing wedding cake for our wedding on 28th September. My husband plays guitar and I love animals so we had music notes and paw prints on our cake. Louise also added our two new kittens onto the cake. We had raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream for the bottom tier, black forest for the middle tier and carrot cake with maple syrup buttercream filling on the top tier. The cake was delicious and the design was personal to Alan and I. The heart shaped treble clef cake topper was a lovely touch. All our guests loved the cake from the design to the taste. The most amazing cake made for my husbands 40th - it was a Vegas theme cake as a surprise to reveal his birthday trip destination. The cake was a real show piece, beautiful, it really had the wow factor. And it tasted divine!!!! We had red velvet on top and lemon on lower tier. Louise made our stunning naked wedding cake, bottom layer lemon, middle chocolate and top carrot cake decorated with fruits and delicate flowers. The cake was delicious, moist and full of flavour. It all got eaten and all the guests commented on how lovely it was... so the proof is in the pudding! Our nutfree and glutenfree guests had special cupcakes too. My now husband and I got engaged on Xmas Day 2016 and I knew that the lovely Louise would be my first choice of cake baker before we'd even set the date (30/06/18). It was lovely to reacquaint with Louise after many years (we'd gone to school together) and she made the whole process so easy. I already knew the design of cake I had in mind and I sent pictures to Louise for her to work on. Nothing was too much effort for Louise even when, a few months later, I asked if the cake could be made vegan... Not a problem for Mrs Duke. She took care of the delivery and set up of the cake at our venue which meant we didn't have to consider it at all on the day... except to cut and enjoy! Which we all did. Delicious Victoria Sponge.. elegant but understated which was exactly the feel we wanted for our day. Louise is so passionate about her work and we're so grateful she was a part of our day. I asked Louise to make a chocolate cake for my daughter's 25th birthday. What she created was chocolate heaven! Chocolate sponge with Nutella buttercream, encased in chocolate fingers. The topping consisted of Ferrero rocher, Oreo biscuits, mars bar and more chocolate. My daughter was dumbstruck when we brought the cake out! I cannot thank Louise enough for making the perfect cake. our wedding cake was AMAZING! everybody loved it, as it was so unique. 3 tier traditional looking on the front with decorations to match our theme. then on the back.... TA DAH the most amazing art in icing of our favourite video games and films. Definitely will be ordering from Louise for the next birthday instead of buying a shop bought one! cannot beat how personalised it is. And she's a lovely person too! nothing is too much, and she is always checking to make sure everything is ok if she's had to change anything. I contacted Louise about creating a cake for my mum’s birthday, she had some great ideas and quickly brought them together, when my mum became ill and we had to postpone the party Louise put everything on hold until she was better, highly recommend!

Working with Louise was a pleasure we had a rough idea for our cake and she was fantastic really understood what it was we wanted, as we bounced ideas around all getting very excited about it.
We weren't quite sure how it would work but she went away and came back with some amazing ideas.
The finishing product was more than I could of hoped for.

Just wanted to say a massive "Thank you" to Louise for my partner's cake. The main cake was just simply amazing, level of detail on point from the texture matching that of the real camera to the dials and buttons. All our guests commented that they thought it was a real camera and were horrified when a knife was put up against it.The camera was sat on what looked like a grey cloth which also was made from icing – this finished the cake very beautifully. I chose a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream filling which was divine, the sponge was perfectly moist and so delicious. Louise made 6 cupcakes which consisted of Vanilla sponge with Raspberry Jam and Buttercream Filling and WOW the miniature cameras sat on top of the cupcakes were out of this world. The cupcakes complimented the main cake and were perfect for the children. Louise make our wedding cake at very short notice, brought it to the venue, and decorated it with flowers from our wedding florist. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful, and much less expensive than I was expecting. She was very friendly and easy to deal with, and altered it to suit guests' dietary intolerances, though you wouldn't have known from the taste. Would definitely use Duke of Cakes again. More...
