We went for the locals spa day, I can’t recommend enough. Had massages before in spas and never been impressed so didn’t hold much hope, but had the best massage and really felt relaxed and refreshed with the bonus of a facial cleanse. Food was great in the Laura Ashley tea rooms and the whole facilities was just lovely. All this for just £49 is well worth it. Me and the girls can’t wait to do this again, soon!! Thank you for such an amazing day x More...

How refreshing to be greeted by staff that are not Eastern European in origin. All the staff either front desk/bar/party night/chambermaids/breakfast/pool side, wherever, all seemed genuinely happy to be going about their business. We had a fantastic weekend, excellent value for money, impressive and stylishly decorated throughout. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on a mini breaker longer. More...

This Hotel is a spa hotel set in a 45 acre site with unbelievably friendly staff and superb food and a buffet breakfast which is superb and hard to beat. 20 minutes from Truro and close to many cornish attractions. This hotel has become one of our favourite chill out bolt holes and the room/breakfast rate is superb. We cannot recommend this hotel high enough and cannot fault it and it seems a great place for weddings/parties. The rooms are spotless, modern and most have balcony views over the front gardens. We will definitely be staying here many more times. We haven't tried the spa yet, but if the rest of the hotel experience is anything to go by it will be impressive and relaxing. More...

Attended for a Christmas party, booked a room so we didn't need to worry about taxis etc, check in was quick and efficient. |Our room was lovely, although overlooking the air conditioning (we never seem to get the best room in hotels) we feel the price of the room with breakfast was great..|Pool facilities were nice, although jacuzzi was cold and not very bubbly. A better pathway from hotel to pool would be nice, maybe sheltered, I'd prefer to go in dressing gown so that after I don't have to redress to get back to room.|The venue for the Christmas party was tiny, only 3 tables, but was nice with a great DJ. A little while since my last stay and still fantastic. Beds are amazing quiet and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. Food is amazing. Breakfast quick and tasty. Beautiful surroundings. Pool and sauna lovely and clean. Changing room a little tired but only because the other areas are so up together. Maybe Cornish butter not Gloucestershire with breakfast. And still think a pair of slippers for the walk to the spa would be good or even the question when you check in and hand out from there if you are going to use. As with any establishment, their reputation and service level depend on the staff.....and we found the staff to not only be helpful, but go above and beyond! All of them greeted us cheerfully and went out of their way to fulfill any request we may have, whether it be for a particular pastry for my son during breakfast or to meet a dietary request during dinner. Even wrapping some pizza up for us to take away after dinner. That would be my only point for improvement, that a vegetarian option be included in their wonderful all inclusive sale packages they do. They used to be, I'm not sure why this has changed. However, we were able to choose from another menu, so this was easily resolved. ||||Clean, spacious and modern rooms. The modern layout is brilliant in its design of a long singular corridor at the rear, so that each room is afforded their own balcony with views. Any visitor is spoilt with a comprehensive breakfast choice. The newly renovated Laura Ashley decor, is quite stunning! Beautifully done. ||||The gym is compact, but holds everything you need. The small pool in the spa is always a favourite of ours. I prefer it's compact size. Beautiful views out across private gardens. (Very well kept grounds!) Lovely to have it warmer than most. I didn't have a treatment this time, but have in the past and they were always excellent. ||||We have been coming for around 8 years now. We will be returning again soon. We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time. Our room was comfortable with a nice chair and couch for relaxing. The bed was a little soft for my liking, but good sheets etc. We chilled out there one day and didnt ask for our room to be cleaned, but they left a basket with fresh towels etc out the door, which was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and engaging. We had one breakfast, which was really nice. We had afternoon tea which we enjoyed and dinner in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. Dinner in the bar was pretty poor and dinner in restaurant was a little better, but still not up to scratch. ||||We enjoyed our trip to the spa, but was disappointed that we had to go outdoors in our robes on a cold day to access it. Really enjoyed our stay at The Cornwall, the facilities are great and the room spacious and great for a family. Bathroom is roomy and clean. The spa has a nice pool perhaps more suitable for children who can swim as no shallow end, one comment is that because it’s in the spa there are limited hours for children (9am to 6pm) which is a little restricting. It was our first holiday as a family since having our Daughter who is 6 months old. We stayed in a silver lodge which was perfect for our needs. Overall the location was perfect, quiet yet near to places we wanted to visit (Eden - 20 mins drive). The lodge was lovely, great atmosphere and facilities but the beds were incredibly hard and I had to add a single duvet to the base to soften it. The carpet was also not hoovered properly and found lots of crumbs and hair from the previous occupants. Not great for a baby crawling on the floor! We ordered room service the day we arrived and it was lovely (highly recommend the pizza) and the breakfast on the first morning was lovely in the restaurant (thanks to Craig). I found reception were a little ‘snooty’ upon arrival and at check out. We decided to have breakfast before we left but the service was slow and I had to ask to be served. My coffee never arrived and had to ask again, apart from a really nice man (I assume a Manager) the ladies serving were quite miserable. More...

We arrived at the hotel, checked in by a lovely lady called lynn very helpful. Room was nice and big comfortable bed. We went down to the restaurant we sat down and they said this table is booked out at 8pm so I replied we have only just arrived and haven't sat down yet or ordered, kept coming over to take our order I repeated my self 3 times can we have couple of minutes to relax and have a look through the menu. We ordered and the food came out quick sat waiting 20 minutes to pay the bill.||||Afterwards we went into the lounge area and Craig was our waiter for the night, he was brilliant, kind person, made conversation with you, made your evening special and always remembered what drinks we had and the next day he remembered us and asked us about morning and have a safe journey home. I would like Craig to see this and get praise for all this hard work, he has good people skills, good at his job and people like that need recognised as there was statf who were rude and couldn't care less! Craig needs to be promoted. ||||In the morning we went to the spa and was greeted by Chelsea she told us all the information we needed and was very helpful and had a smile on her face. Lovely massage from the ladies only caught one of the ladies one Tia felt welcome and relaxed and then went into the swimming pool was nice and clean little bit cold but once you got moving it was fine and we enjoyed the steam room and the sauna. We both have busy jobs so we was truly relexed.||||We finished and went for lunch the roast dinner was OK very bland no flavour to it and then waited 20 minutes to order as I called the lady over and said your boss just left us the menu and didn't bother coming back she apologised and took our order straight away she was friendly and had a chat with us thank you kristie and good luck with your pregancy. The dessert once it came it was delicious chocolate brownie. Overall the stay was great but some of the restaurant staff need a kick up the bum that's included manager's as well. More...

Lovely hotel. Clean, friendly and very relaxing. Great location to discover this part of Cornwall. Room was very clean with good wifi links. My only disappoint was the choice of food, I was expecting a higher calibre of food on the menu. Menu didn't offer any fine dining, which was surprising considering the hotel seems to cater for spa days. We stayed here for a night on the 8th October 2019 as part of a Secret Escapes Breakfast and Dinner deal, From the moment we arrived too smiling, cheerful and very helpful reception staff till the time we left we couldn't fault anything. As soon as we arrived we realised that there was hardly anyone staying which suited us as a lot as we wanted a quiet time away and we had the added bonus of no children around lol.|||| Our room was great and spacious and immaculately clean. The Spa facilities i.e. Infinity Swimming Pool, Steam and Sauna rooms were also immaculately clean, the gym was the same with a great array of equipment. ( we didn't try any spa packages.) ||||We had no trouble getting in for dinner in the evening like some people seem to have had, but that was because we booked in with the restaurant before we arrived, i would think this was common sense and not to just turn up and hope you get seated.||||The three course meal was divine (we were allowed to mix and match between all menus ) and left us more than full at the end, a little shout out to our waiter ( didn't get name) who recommended the Salt Beef starter and Pork Tenderloin main to me ). Also a shout out to the Barman who went out of his way when we hit the bar about 10.30pm to arrange coffee for my partner and for his conversation.||||The estate and the grounds ( apart from the fact we think that there could be more walks available on it apart from the childrens walk up and around the back, ) are great and very well kept and i can imagine it looking very beautiful in the summer.||||As i said, we were lucky to be here when there was hardly anyone staying, i can imagine in the middle of summer it is very busy but all in all, we had the most amazing time and experience and will definately be returning,||||see you soon More...
