It was our first visit to Butchers Social for Sunday lunch for the family. It was one of the best we have had. We did mention to the waitress the food was super but could have been hotter. We will go again but mention this.

Brilliant food. One of the nicest roast beef dinners I've had in a long time also the staff were polite and friendly. Lovely atmosphere. We hadn't booked we were on our way home from a day out and fancied a roast dinner we went to the Swan but it had stopped serving food as it was now 5pm so we walked down the high street and came across The Butcher's did know what to expect but so glad we stopped. excellent food. Very calm and laid back evening allowing us to catch up with no rush on ordering our food. The more senior waiter was very capable and informative. There were however a few mixed messages regarding allergies as one of the party has a a severe carrot allergy and there was inconsistent information received between senior staff and junior staff about several dishes. Excellent food. The hot food is how it should - hot! I can’t bear it to be lukewarm. It would be great if lamb appeared on the Sunday lunch menu regularly but there is chicken and fish available for people who don’t eat beef or pork. The servers are very pleasant.

The restaurant said we would be charged £40 to do so which we were not impressed with.
