What do you love most about your job?
The opportunity to help and support people and their organisations to become an 'Authority'. This is where people and businesses grow rapidly to a point where others look to them for leadership guidance and opinion. It's a real buzz to be a part of this and is the most rewarding role there is
What inspired you to start your own business?
My friend Gary was struggling with his manufacturing business. Sales were down and his sales team had walked away. He was at the lowest ebb that I had seen him over the 20 years we had known each other. I sat down with him and on a paper napkin we created a 12-month plan to get him back on track. It involved the right levels of financing, positioning his products in a completely different way, building great customer and supplier relationships and developing a trusted team of employees who feel part of the organisation's mission. Together we grew Gary's business by 42% over the next 12 months. He said 'Blimey David, You should be sat in a leather chair with a spotlight on you. You're a mastermind'. That was kind of Gary. But, you know what? It got to me and that is when I decided it was time to get out there and help others to succeed. The Business Arena Academy was born

That knowledge has been tested through the 2,500 organisations that we have worked with so far and adapted to ensure the principles and techniques work for SME businesses.
