I'm going to run out of positive things to say about David and Christina... simply put, they were incredible! We did a couples engagement shoot and I don't photograph well so don't enjoy my picture being taken but we had so much fun on the day! We were so relaxed and really enjoyed the experience! Once we received our photos we couldn't have been happier with them! The communication prior to the shoot was brilliant and on the day it couldn't have been any better! In business terms most people says never work with animals and babies! . Not Tenth Floor Photography. I had a pet shoot with Dave & Christina for my dog Max, a 10 month old Golden Retriever and made him feel so comfortable that he more than enjoyed his close up with the camera. As much as they were besotted by Max, Dave & Christina remained Very professional throughout the shoot, waiting patiently even when he wondered off . The photos they got were outstanding! So natural not staged which I love I'm so pleased with them Dave & Christina went up and beyond with them, I can't even decide on one favourite they are all that good! I had a pet photo shoot last week. David and Christina were fabulous. So professional and determined to get the best shots. They are both so friendly and travelled through to Dunfermline for the shoot so very flexible and willing to do what they could to capture the perfect picture for me. I was so amazed by the finished photos, they were more than I could have expected and they captured my dog so well. Photographing a baby is no easy task for anyone but Christina and David did an amazing job with our 5 month old son Harrison. we had already discussed what kind of photos we would like so they were ready and raring to go when they arrived! even brought some bubbles for the wee man! The whole shoot took about an hour and a half they were very professional and we all worked together to get exactly what we were looking for. the photos we received super fast after David worked on editing them much quicker than we could of asked!! The end result is an amazing set of photographs we will cherish forever! we will definitely use Tenth Floor Photography again David and Christina were lovely to work with very down to earth and professional! I've begun working with David Gulliver of Tenth Floor Photography to take photos of the close-up magic I do at The Joker & The Thief pub on Leith Walk in Edinburgh. We both wanted to see how it would go, as magic depends on catching split second reactions during a routine. The low lighting atmosphere also presented a challenge. The photos came out brilliantly and I loved some of the effects David also used in editing the photos. Elegant and stylish with a very contemporary feel. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Emotion. Everyone has something to say in this world but the key is finding the right tool to express yourself. There is beauty in everything, and through the use of a camera I can capture any scenario or event in it's truest form while adding a little touch of my feeling in there too. You should be able to see the artist in any of their work.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Would you like candid or posed shots, or both?
What kind of editing style would you like? Black and white? Colour? Both?
What is your dream outcome of this photoshoot?
What do you love most about your job?
Easy. People. I love watching them have fun at a photoshoot or event. I enjoy making them laugh and capturing that. Then there's the editing process, I love sitting down and going through such a great time and having been a part of it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Simply a passion for photography. My origins began in drawing, painting and sculpture, having studied at Edinburgh College of Art but evolved into photography. Due my work getting instant attention, I began Tenth Floor Photography.
Why should our clients choose you?
It's not only about the photographs. While they are vital, the client really needs to have a good experience. I've watched other photographers, of course I have, and I have hired my own, and often the experience is very soulless. They turn up, start shooting away, go home, some months later you see the photos. We prefer to be more than a service, and like to get to know the client before we do the photoshoot through a face to face meeting or over the phone. This way we can get to know their expressions, their interests, and this makes everything so much better on the day.

We cover every type of event, whether this is corporate, promotional or your grannie's birthday. You name it, we'll deliver the best.
Wedding Photography
We understand the intimate nature of wedding photography and how important it is. We offer highly flexible prices and communicate with the couple as often is as needed to prevent the dreaded fear of no contact and a no-show! We like to get to know the couple before the shoot to alleviate any nerves and to create a friendly rapport. We certinaly don't like to keep the couple waiting, and we get to work editing the photos almost instantly after the event, often blocking off our diaries for other events to ensure waiting time is kept to a minimum.
Advertisement Photography
We can provide high quality, creative shots for your business, or we can create the skeleton shot for any graphic designer working for that company. We also provide photography for any promotional events the organisation might be involved in.
Family and Lifestyle Photography
We are keen family portrait, event, and baby photographers. With cheer and a great sense of humour, we revel in capturing the special occasions of family and friends. We always work outwith the studio environment we used to use, as capturing families or little ones in a home or comfortable environment makes for original, natural photos that each member can recognise as their own.
