Tamsin is an amazing gardener. We hired her to remove a dead tree and plant a new one as well as trim hedges and give our garden an overhaul with the addition of new plants. From the initial consultation which was very thorough, to a detailed follow up with thoughtful suggestions to the actual work and then a follow up of care instructions, every interaction was considerate and pleasant. We are glad we hired Tamsin, who obviously knows her craft, has great taste and works very efficiently. She also has great connections for sourcing good quality trees, plants and pots. Once the work was finished, she provided a helpful planting list and maintenance guide. If I was a theatre critic, I'd call this a rave review ... we are so thrilled with our new garden, thanks to Tamsin and her friendly team. The design and planting ideas we talked through at our first meeting were followed up with a full list of shrub and flower options, a Pinterest moodboard, and a very clear breakdown of what it would cost and how long it would take. The work was scheduled quickly and done on time, and we now have a beautiful space with gorgeous planting, plus a written plan of what everything is and how to care for it in the future. I am thrilled with the transformation in my north London garden, which had become a wilderness. As an inexperienced gardener, it felt overwhelming. Tamsin took my tentative ideas, understood my hopes at once and made suggestions that made them soar. It was always my garden, though; there was never a sense of someone else taking over. The plants are the triumph, but Tamsin also had terrific suggestions for the management of trees, fencing and the new path, and she worked constructively with both hard-landscaper and electrician, to ensure that the planting, patio and lighting were in harmony. Tamsin did a great job with some replanting and reorganising of our garden. I was looking for some help with designing and sourcing plants which would work better in our conditions (part shade, quite dry, lots of slugs and snails) than my usual pattern of buying things that look nice at a garden centre and then don't work. Three weeks on and the garden is looking great, with the plants settling in well. Tamsin tidied up the beds and did lots of work to improve the soil to help the plants establish well. On the day of planting, her and Maya did an amazing job - I can’t believe how much was achieved in just one day. She was also incredibly kind and patient in talking me through how to look after my new garden and her aftercare report was very thorough.
