What makes a great website?
1) A clear purpose. Describing expertise, building your reputation, and a means for generating leads
2) Simplicity. A website is about engaging your audience. Busy websites can confuse and be off putting. Concentrate from the outset on Colours, types, and imagery.
3) Obvious navigation. Menus need to be intuitive to your audience, and consistent.
4) Good and valid content. A website might look fantastic, but if it doesn't feed the audience good information about the client, then it might prove useless.
5) Mobile Friendly. Currently close to 50% of web browsing is via mobile phones. Even if the audience finally uses a PC, a mobile phone might well be their first port of call to asses you as a provider of business.

What inspired you to start your own business?
20 years working for larger companies in varying roles from programmer to Managing Director, I found that if I can do it for them, I can do it for us.
Working for yourself provides so much more variety to your working role. It also provides you with flexibility in your lifestyle.

Whilst face to face introductions can provide validation and assurance between customer and service provider, much of the work involved can be done without constant meet-ups and wasted journeys.
We live in a technology rich world, and we should take advantage as much as possible.
Much of the time, liaising with the client can be as simple as a phone call, or email, or a video chat, with online demonstrations.
IN terms of ongoing support, most if not all services can be done remotely by us, and without the need for costly schedules meet-ups.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We work remotely and keep direct contact to a minimum. Our work is based from home, so over the last 18 months we have had limited face to face meetings with clients, and indeed, limited contact with anyone. As such, and in combination with remote communications, we present minimum risk with respect to Covid-19.
Oh.. and of course having the 2 vaccine jabs helps everyone.
