Residential Interior Designers

Great approach to customers. Clear pricing structure

Danielle has the gift of being able to translate one’s ideas, wants, thoughts and feelings, into an actual final tangible product, which looks beautiful and feels right. We reached out to her toward the end of our flat’s refurbishment. We were 70% there and the designer we were working with had run out of steam (and ideas!). Due to distance and my partner’s and my work commitments, we did everything remotely - either online or on the phone- which worked surprisingly very well. Danielle was wonderful throughout the whole process. She listened, was responsive and gave us lots of options and guidance. She also delivered the final product well within our original budget, which we were so happy about. The whole experience, from beginning to end, was a five star one, and most importantly, we love the end result! More...

Danielle worked with us on the design and project management for renovation of our chalet in France. I was impressed by her knowledge, professionalism and ability to meet deadlines and budgets. We very much appreciated her attention to detail and her creative approach throughout, and she was very personable, enabling us to develop a good working partnership. More...

Q&As

A typical project begins with a conversation to understand your brief and the scope of work required, we then progress to an initial consultation in your home or a virtual tour remotely (which suits).

Projects are divided into 3 main stages, most clients require all 3 but some prefer to manage the installation and work themselves and as time and funds allow.

Stage 1
Stage 1 - Discovery
- brainstorm images (mood board) depicting the overall feel for the area we are designing together
. These are nonspecific images and purely set the scene before proceeding to the design stage.

Stage 2 - Design intent and room layouts
- design concept images depicting solutions for each room, supported by product samples (where available)
- scaled room layouts showing placement of furniture.
- a full list of products required and their availability
- amendments to the design are made at this point if necessary

Stage 3 – Procurement, project management, and installation
- specifications produced for any trades involved in the implementation of the design
- scheduling of works
- orders placed with all suppliers and deliveries and installation managed
- project management throughout until final installation
- room styling and photography

Over the past 20 years, we've catered for many style preferences. The most prevalent in the past few years have definitely been influenced by Scandinavia, but we cater for all forms of contemporary, both urban and country, plus traditional and classic designs for more period homes.

We love how creating a beautiful home or work place can positively alter how our clients feel in that space. Producing a sense a wellness and positivity is our goal. Visual aesthetics are important, but there are many elements to interior design that are often unnoticed but make all the difference.

It has its challenges, but in general running our own business means we are in control of the work we choose to take on. We love that we can be flexible and adjust to each individual project. No two projects are the same and we love the rush of a new project and the glow of the finished one. Owning that total job satisfaction is worth the pain of the long hours and stressful highlights.

We love people! It's in understanding how people live and their needs that really inspires us. Interior designers can have the ability to see opportunities in your home or office that you won't. We've made many mistakes over the years so you don't have to. We've invested, and continue to invest, in our design education. We have access to trades and suppliers that are not known by all and in the long run can save you money. Often design fees are covered by the savings in time, energy and investment in products.

Services

We spend time with you investigating how you use your space and how you would like your home, or work place, to look and feel. We then produce a design concept and work this through to a detailed design solution with layouts.

We follow this with procurement, project management and final installation. We prefer to work with our own network of professional trades as they work to our own expectation of quality and finish. However, if you have skilled decorators, builders and cabinet makers, then we’d be happy to consider them for our projects once we are assured of their skill set.

We have completed many “turn-key” projects, including complete renovation and refurbishments for distant clients who have investment properties and second homes.
