Stuart Allan provides comprehensive personal and business development coaching and consultancy services through a range of bespoke executive and senior management training and coaching tools. My experience has been built up over a thirty-five-year business career, having founded an international manufacturing company, successfully exiting in 2013 through an MBO, and then embarking on a business coaching career.

The ability to forensically analyse personal and business issues, identify the core problems and then create bespoke strategies and tools to develop the individual and/or their company to create tangible results aligned with a clients' and teams aspirations.

Vision, drive, determination and sheer hard work having founded and worked within my own companies for over thirty years, once you have tasted success through your efforts, you never turn back.

Over my extensive business and coaching career, I have identified eight main reasons why clients engage my services; these are:

1. The senior management team are insufficiently skilled to continue developing the business and require senior leadership and management training, and support, to fulfil their ambitions, this typically happens when new large clients are introduced into the business portfolio.

2. The business and management team have lost direction, determination and enthusiasm and they are spinning, going nowhere, and with no identifiable or tangible goals or targets for growth, this results in the business going backwards.

3. The company is losing money and needs to be brought back into profitability and sustained managed growth through the introduction and implementation of comprehensive management systems and enhanced training.

4. The business management team are attempting to maximise value through increased profitability, with a view to selling, or an MBO.

5. The business is looking to increase profitability and professionalism to attract external funding or third-party strategic partners.

6. A family business is going through successional planning, and there are significant conflicts between family members with no clarity of direction or ambition.

7. The management team is at war with one another which has created a toxic working environment for the management and their team.

8. The management and their team have lost confidence and need to identify new commercial opportunities with the help of a third party.

I have experienced and resolved all the issues identified through skilful coaching and diverse experiences developed through a long independent career and fully understanding the emotional and physical stresses and strains that are experienced operating at an executive level or running your own business, however, no problem is insurmountable if approached through logical and empathetic strategies with realistic timescales and resources.

• Creation of a 3 Year Orbit business plan to identify medium term goals covering
financial, team, infrastructure and marketing requirements
• Creation of rolling 90 day development plans to create, and implement, strategies to
substantially improve the profitability and systemisation of the business

What do the programmes consist of...?
• Creation of a 3 Year Orbit business plan to identify your medium term goals covering
financial, team, infrastructure and marketing requirements
• Creation of four key business development strategies broken down into quantifiable
tasks
• Creation of a 90 day development plan to create strategies to improve the profitability
and systemisation of the business
• Conduct comprehensive financial business health checks to include budget against
actual forecasting, cashflow, breakeven point and reviews of product costings templates
and business margins
• Conduct a review and implementation of strategic KPI targets so the company can
understand how to maximise ongoing profitability
• Complete a company SWOT analysis to identify the Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities and Threats within the business
• Conduct a product development and target market review
• Create a marketing plan and introduce testing and measuring to maximise the ROI’s:

investment levels and conducted over two hour bi-weekly meetings.
