I've been on course with steve for 4 weeks now. Granted it's not a long time but in these four weeks I've managed to put on 2. 5KG, which is amazing as I've been trying to put weight on now for about a year. I have never had a PT before, and I don't think I would ever train with anyone else now. He knows exactly what he's talking about (even if it doesn't make sense to you, like increasing calories to lose weight? !) and adapts all exercises/programmes to suit you. Steve is not your typical PT. Steve takes an active interest in your life, your goals and your ambitions. He gives a real sense that your goals are his goals and that he wants to achieve them every bit as much as you do, if not more. Steve takes the time to get to know you and what motivates you and by doing so he knows how and when to push, and when to slow down. He'll not only teach you how to identify the true signs of progress, but will also dispel the myths around fitness and the emotional attachment to weight. Steve is very realistic in his approach and teaches you how to have realistic expectations of your own. He doesn't ask you to stick to an impossible diet, in fact everything he seeks to achieve is based around fitting in with your life. Small changes, big results. Personal Trainers

Steve's approach is different to other personal trainers. He takes an active interest in your life, what you want to achieve and why. There is a real sense that your goals are his goals and that he will help get you there. He understands that we all have a life to live outside of a gym and gives you the knowledge and tools to help you fit your goals in around your life and commitments. Steve doesn't overload you with information but gives you enough tips and encouragement to make small changes that get results on which further success can be built.

Steve takes time to get to know you and how best to provide motivation and support. He's also quite happy to explain why things work and helps you to understand the variety of different things that impact on your achievements, both physical and psychological.

For someone like me who has become jaded and cynical with the fitness industry, Steve is a welcome breath of fresh air.

It needs to be balanced based on your lifestyle and behaviours otherwise it is unrealistic and not sustainable. Trust me, this way of thinking will not slow the rate of your results, in fact, it will make it faster.
