I really enjoyed taking part in Sophie’s ‘Faces of Colchester’ project - and I’m thrilled with the personal photo I received as my bonus for taking part. The image shows me looking relaxed and happy - and for someone who normally hates photos of themselves - I was really chuffed that it looked like the ‘real me’ ! I recently had a few hours private tuition with Sophie & I would highly recommend! From the first point of contact Sophie has been nothing but helpful with giving me information on what courses she offers or private tuition, also giving advice for further equipment that may be useful to progress for the future,very professional at all times,I throughly enjoyed my tuition & felt I learnt so much in a short space of time, really liked that we did practical exercises during the tuition & helped so much to put into practise what I was learning, look forward to booking further tuition in the future!

When looking for somebody to capture and create professional imagery for business content on websites and across social media I would 100% recommend SSP. Sophie immediately understood my brand. I attended the ‘Photography for Beginners’ workshop today and Sophie has given me the confidence to pick up my camera and adjust the settings based on the environment conditions I’m in and achieve great photos. No more winging it by living off the ‘Auto’ mode, I can now feel proud and confident using my camera and take ownership of my photos. Sophie took photos of our wedding in October 2016 and we've now had the photos back and love them! They really captured the day perfectly and we now have lovely shots of not only us, but out family and friends. The whole process, from the initial meeting to discuss what sort of thing I was wanting, confirming the booking, having a pre-wedding photo shoot at the park and any correspondence has been fantastic, she was easy to speak to and quick to reply. During the actual wedding day, Sophie definitely has the ability to make you feel relaxed and is just really easy to get on with, which definitely results in great photos. Even the delivery of the photos in a little gift box was great and I was very excited to unwrap our little parcel! Sophie has not only taken some professional headshots of me but recently came to my house and took a family photo shoot, including dogs who would not sit still. I am thrilled to bits with them all - she captures people brilliantly and her photographs are really beautiful - cleverly using the natural colours in the scene and also artistically placing people etc so that the photo has some other interest. We had an amazing time at Smeetham Hall Barn for our wedding. From the first time we visited we felt at ease with Bridget and felt that any query, no matter how large or small, wasn't a problem. The Barn and house are in lovely condition and the gardens and lake make an amazing backdrop for wedding photos.
Bridget's vast experience with suppliers means you're in good hands with suppliers who know Smeetham Hall Barn very well.
Our day went perfectly thanks to Bridget and team and Bridget was on hand if we needed anything at all.

What can we say? Our Wedding reception held at the Barn on the 7th Oct 2017 was amazing!
When my husband & I first visited the barn when we were searching for venues Bridget was so welcoming and then on seeing the Barn, it was an easy decision for us to make. We fell in love with it straight away.
Bridget & her team were so helpful in all the planning.
Our day was incredible, the barn looked stunning and so many of our guests commented on it too. We wish we could have the day all over again!

From the second we arrived at beautiful Smeetham Hall Barn, we knew it was the perfect venue for our special day. It was the first and only venue we viewed as we instantly fell in love with it, and Bridget. Bridget is the most amazing lady to work with and arrange your special day. From the second we arrived we felt at ease, and the entire process of booking and planning our special day was an absolute pleasure due to help helpful Bridget is and how easy she makes everything. Our photographer, catering, accommodation and transport were all booked through recommendations from Bridget, and they were all perfect. The Barn and the grounds are just stunning for the most amazing photos, and everything about beautiful Smeetham is so relaxed. We were even able to get some time to ourselves and go to the beautiful meadows behind the car park to get the most wonderful sunset pictures. I could not recommend Smeetham as a wedding venue enough. Our day was perfect here from start to end, and I am sad that we no longer have a need to keep visiting this wonderful place.
