Dressmaker
I can design and make garments to particular specifications, using both industrial and domestic sewing machines and overlockers. I can also hand sew, and carry out repairs and alterations on clothing.
I have experience using the following industrial sewing equipment: Flat bed, walking foot, kansai cover stitch, 5 thread overlocker, 4 thread overlocker, babylock, yamamoto & button hole machine.
Other experience (current): 9 months with Dressmaking company, using a range of skills from making bespoke garments (Womens, Men's and Childrens wear, some tailoring and Bridal wear included) Altering both mens and women's clothing to fit and also home furnishings.
I also sew regularly in my spare time, doing alterations for family and friends, and making my own clothes too.

Seamstress
I currently work as a Freelance Seamstress. I carry out alterations and repairs, and also have done a good deal of larger projects too. Some past projects include: making grey jersey jackets for channel 4's series 'Black Mirror' (2011) and working on repairs and additional features on 'Jaques Le Trash' - an 18ft trash dragon that collects recycling at festivals around the UK.

Crochet
I am confident using a wide range of materials & stitches in crochet. I can read patterns and I work quickly & efficiently.
Macramé
I have recently been developing my skills using macrame techniques, and have produced many samples. I also used this technique in the production of my Graduate Collection at university.
Embroidery
I have practiced embroidery techniques both as a hobby and within my project work. From a very young age, I have enjoyed cross stitch in particular, in which I gained recognition for in craft competitions for both Brownies and Guides. I furthered these techniques to include them in my university work to focus my identity towards a hand made / hand crafted design ethos.
