What do you love most about your job?
I love walking in all weathers - there is always something in the Somerset countryside to take my breath away! The best thing about my job is that I get to share the great outdoors with lots of dogs too!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had worked in an office for over 26 years, and was longing to be outside, walking with my dog so I investigated the business side of dog walking (it's not something you do on a whim!), obtained qualifications, did market research and took the plunge! It's the best thing I ever did. I love working with animals.
Why should our clients choose you?
Somerset Dog Walking are responsible, reliable and professional dog walkers. For us, our clients (that's both dog and human!) are very important. We keep you updated with text message reports about the walk, letting you know where we went, what we did and we also let you know of any concerns we may have (eg a limp). We only use positive reinforcement (absolutely NO choke or prong collars!!) and our dogs are always happy to see us. Of course, that may be because we smell of treats and puppies!
