I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Simon as a talented photographer and thoroughly decent human being. He is attentive and encouraging and managed to get me to relax and actually enjoy my shoot. I don’t even know where to begin with this review as Simon was excellent in every way and a real privilege to have as our wedding photographer. He is so calm and understanding and listened to our ideas as well as suggesting other options we hadn’t even thought about. We would not hesitate to to recommend Simon, and are so glad we chose him to photograph our daughter and son in laws wedding in October. From our first meeting at the venue we could tell that Simon loves his work and is full of enthusiasm. We can't talk highly enough of, or recommend Simon highly enough for making our wedding day so special. Simon was fantastic to us from the moment we met at Durbar Hall to discuss what was wanted on our big day, which we were completely unsure about, right up to the minute he left us at the end of our day. Simon's knowledge of Hastings made us achieve the most perfect day and photos. He was able to advise us on a lovely local pub for our guests to go to whilst he whisked us off for photos on the sunset beach, which were just amazing and that was in November, so not a lovely summer's day. Simon put us and our guests at ease throughout the day whilst he took photos. Everyone saw Simon as part of the family, he just blended in with us all, so no stiff posing for photos! We even had poor Simon on his knee's taking photos of my red wedding shoes on the beach LOL! Nothing was ever a problem and we loved the fact he is artistic and loves thinking outside the box for photos. Simon was able to give me a contact for wedding make up and hair on the day too. Grace Benson was excellent and again highly recommended. Simon achieved a beautiful photographic story of our wedding, which will definitely keep the memories of our special day vivid and alive for the rest of our lives. Simon is absolutely fantastic! We knew after a few seconds of meeting with Simon that he was the photographer we wanted to photograph our wedding. He is friendly, professional and extremely talented with a camera. We could tell he was very experienced with wedding photography from his tips and beautiful sample photos. Simon was knowledgeable, kind, and easy to work with from the very beginning of our wedding photography journey. Simon understood that we find photos awkward and were both worried about what we should do, so he gave us lots of options of poses and locations and was flexible on the day if we had more ideas. He had a great sense of humour and made us all feel so relaxed. Our family and friends still comment on how wonderful he was, and how well he did to capture all those images as a one man band for a large wedding! Simon did the most brilliant job of photographing my daughter-in-law and son at their wedding at the Pilgrims Rest on 26th June 2021. He captured every amazing moment he was allowed to (due to Covid-19 restrictions), he was lovely company but not intrusive. The results were beyond everyone's expectations and even pleased a very experienced photographer parent (sorry we did not mention that Simon we did not want to put undue pressure on you). Excellent, Simon photographed my two dogs one a puppy the other an old dog, not the easiest to photograph, I was so impressed with the results absolutely lovely photos.

I set Simon an impossible challenge: to photograph my wedding in the middle of a pandemic (and all the last minute changes of plan that brought with it! ), and most importantly, capture some beautiful photos of our three children, 5, 2 and 8 months. I know from my own experience how hard it is to get a photo of any number of children smiling on command, but he was friendly, patient, and so naturally talented at what he does that a few weeks later, we received the most beautiful photographs, above and beyond what we expected. Incredible! We were so overwhelmed with the gorgeous photos Simon took on our wedding day.
