Hi, my name is Shirley Mclean an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, EFT (emotional freedom technique) and NLP Practitioner.
I offer face to face and online via Zoom, FaceTime and WhatsApp. I help with Anxiety , Stress, Depression. Weight Loss, Virtual Gastric Band, Confidence, Sports Performance, Fears plus much more.

Giving people the tools to change their lives and seeing their results along their journey with me.

My background prior to hypnotherapy was working for the NHS for 30 years, 12 of these years managing a Pharmacy and during this time this has enabled me to gain vast knowledge of health conditions, symptoms, signs and understanding within many areas of health and wellbeing and people, not to mention working with a variety of practitioners. After learning more about hypnotherapy and experiencing the results, which can be extraordinary, I was hooked! and made the decision to help others focusing on this approach.

I was first interested in hypnosis and the power of the mind years ago, where I was searching for alternative ways rather than ‘pills’ to help others.

I’m an Advanced Clinical hypnotherapist, an NLP Practitioner , Advanced Tapping Practitioner and Coach who has helped numerous numbers of people to make significant changes over the years. My mission is inspire and encourage people to live happier, healthier lives.

I can provide services online or remotely from my clinic rooms in Prestwich

I now see most of my clients online, but if this isn't for you, I have a sanitised room at the ready.

For Peace in the Mind and Body

Everybody experiences anxiety at some time. Anxiety is a natural response, useful in helping us to avoid dangerous situations and motivating us to solve everyday problems. Anxiety can vary in severity from mild uneasiness through to a terrifying panic attack. It can vary in how long it last, from a few moments to many years. Anxiety disorder differs from normal anxiety it is more severe, it is long lasting, it interferes with your work or relationship.

This programme is conducted over 6 x 1 he sessions, designed to bring about a gradual change to your mindset – to give you a set of ‘tools’ that can help you recognize your triggers, enabling you to let go of things that don’t matter, and focus your energy on what you can control – your mind.
This is not just a short term fix – this potentially creates skills for life.
If you use the tools they will develop lifetime habits which will enable you to be calm and much more resilient for future life events.
This will reinforce the calmness state and rid you of any build – up of smaller, day to day stressors.

STRESS
How to Create Instant Calm, Resilience and Change Responses to Stress.
Everyone has stress, but few have the skills to deal with it. Stress is the body’s reaction to any change that require an adjustment or response .The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental and emotional responses, stress is a normal part of life. Even positive life changes such as a promotion, a mortgage or the birth of a child produces stress.

This programme is to receive the life skills and strategies to create calm in your life.
When we believe we are stressed, this is simply the result of one system (the stress response) doing too much, and the other system ( our natural relaxation) doing too little, The focused attention will be –

-Interrupting the stress response
-Managing negative self talk and re interpreting or re framing events
-Eliminating problem minimising the stressors
-Techniques that give the mind and body recovery time
-Learning the difference between tension and relaxation.

Depression
Creating Joy and Happiness
The word depression is used in many different ways. Depression is a common but serious mood disorder. It can cause severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle everyday activities, such as sleeping, eating or working. This programme is conducted over an initial three week period 3x 1hr sessions.
There are ‘no one session’ wonders.
The three sessions are designed to bring a gradual change to your mind-set, to give you a set of ‘mind management tools’ that can help you focus on the present and future instead of focusing on negatives, failures and your own limiting beliefs.
This is not just a short term fix, it’s creating skills for life, in that if you use the tools you will go on to develop habits for a lifetime of being calmer and much more resilient to life’s events.
