I can't recommend Lucy highly enough! I had the most fantastic treatment shortly before the birth of our second baby and it really helped ground me and balance my energy in preparation for labour. I've been to see Lucy twice now since being pregnant, once for a shiatsu massage and once for a 2 hour birth prep workshop with my 2 birthing partners. I felt very held and comfortable during both sessions and I'm pretty sure Lucy helped to turn my baby from breech position!! Lucy provided a space for me and my two pals to come together before the birth and share our fears and expectations, learn some helpful positions for labour and relax with a meditation. Definitely money well spent and I'm looking forward to booking in for another massage when the baby has (finally) arrived!! More...

Lucy Trend is a teacher level member of the Register of the Shiatsu Society MRSS(T) and a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC – the Department of Health recommended regulatory body)
Lucy has been practicing and teaching in Glasgow since 1997. Her background is in dance performance and movement therapy. She qualified as a Shiatsu therapist in Montreal, Canada in 1996 and since then has been committed to continuing professional development. She has trained with Thai masters in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand since the year 2000, most recently visiting for a one month study of Thai detox massage in 2009.
She teaches at the Glasgow and Edinburgh Schools of Shiatsu, and runs Thai Massage Training Scotland in Glasgow. She provides massage therapy services to visiting artists in Scotland as well as touring with bands. She holds corporate team building and self-development training for private and public sector organisations across Scotland.
