I had never really appreciated the difference between building a website and designing a productive/ user friendly/ business enhancing site until I worked with Scarborough Digital.
As a clinician who professes to understand people, someone who can tailor their communication style to a persons capability... it seems I threw that out of the window when building my site originally and wrote as if I was designing a site for medical experts.

Wow!!!! I had built a website I thought looked good, I kidded myself it was enough that if someone had my business card that they could look for the site with the full name and find me.
I never really thought about how the site could work for me, to bring bring business in.

What makes a great website?
What defines a great website starts before you get to the page. It's about how it's found and the journey your customers make to get there in the first place. Once you arrive at the site it instantly has to say "Hey you have arrived at the right place." This is true for everything from plumbers to artists to interior design. When people arrive at your site they have to not want to leave. They want to stay because it is both visually pleasing and the content is relevant to what they want.

Describe your creative process.
The creative inputs come from the client, It is really important that at the very minimum there are conversations with the decision maker but ideally there would be face to face or Skype input as well to really get a feel for the passion that drives the customer. We then take a pinch of who the target audience is and work great imagery, easy navigation and great content writing to deliver a great feeling, looking and working website.

What inspired you to start your own business?
I was working in a large corporate environment for many years in sales and marketing and feeling penned in with limitations and not being able to be create with ideas that allowed people to flow and grow. Starting my own business in this creative area has not only freed up my thinking but allowed it to exponentially grow and not be constricted.
