About

I am an independent cook & I use seasonal vegetables sourced from Sandy Lane Farm & shop to put together buffets that are packed full of flavour, interest & colour. I specialise in vegetarian food (though I am not vegetarian) & can also cook slow roast pulled pork & lamb sourced from our farm.

I’ve passed your sign on many occasions, but sadly never on the right day ..... until yesterday ! WOW I will be back . I bought a salad bag, heritage tomatoes , crystal lemon cucumber , and a few other things, and of course a bag . ... ready for my return next week ! Thank you for helping me by answering my questions. Yesterday’s and today’s lunch has been amazing - a salad like no other. Flowers and a hint of aniseed in my lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber that didn’t disappoint. More...

Delightful location to host a wedding reception or other event. Just ask them not to light the outdoor fire, which makes everything smell a bit smokey.

Just had to quickly run to Sandy Lane farm to pick up a few organic greens and bits for my husband’s juicing needs and was so touched how familiar and welcoming it was. Kate is just the light of the day and their passion for life shows in everything they do. So happy to be a proud customer. Thank you Kate and George . Don’t know how we’ll get by without our local Sandy Lane Farm’s wide range of Local organic produce. More...

We love it here! I try to get along each Thursday to pick up veg with my 2 kids. The food is amazing, it's great to support local/organic AND I love that my kids get excited to choose veggies (and see the farm animals). Thanks all!

Popped over today, I’m very impressed, had a gorgeous dinner tonight with the best mashed potatoes! The organic milk tastes like it did when I was a kid. . I’m also really happy to see conscious people caring about our environment even down to the wooden forks and compostable takeaway salad pots.. More...

We stopped by Sandy Lane by chance, we had spent the weekend in Oxford and saw that TOAD were selling products at the open day - so stopped by.
We had a lovely time and ate some excellent food. So good, we bought several items from the farm shop to take home.
The people at so nice, I foolishly left behind an item I had purchase and Cate went to great lengths to return it to me which was some considerable effort as we are based in Kent.
Definitely head to the farm if you’re in the area - it’s lovely!

Q&As

Roast squash, red onion & tahini with fresh herbs & anything else inspired by seasonal vegetables & middle eastern flavours. I also make a refreshing lime & chilli coleslaw & like to make chocolate fudge brownies and/or pavlova for puddings.

I like to give customers a choice of salads that will add colour & a variety of flavours to their table. I ask them to trust me to produce something delicious based on what we have available on the farm or in our farm shop at the time. My aim is to take the stress out of creating a meal for a lot of people so that the customer can enjoy their party.

Creating dishes out of the seasonal ingredients available to me on the farm & the joy of surprising people that vegetarian food can be full of flavour, filling, delicious & reasonably priced.

My husband is an organic vegetable grower & I wanted to celebrate what is harvested on our farm.

I am reliable & approachable and enjoy the freedom & creativity of cooking large meals for others.
