Really good food, nice location, high prices. Had the full Scottish Breakfast, was really nice and well cooked. Eggs runny, sausages really lovely as well.

A very nice place with plenty of choice for breakfast, smoked salmon, croissants, oat meals and cakes. Nice coffee also. How busy the Sand Dollar Café is says a lot about the quality of the food! Also very kind staff. We will go back More...

Fantastic little place. We decided to pop down for brunch around noon on Sunday. There was a bit of a queue when we arrived as the place was full but the waitresses came over to let us know we wouldn't have to wait too long and gave us menus so we could have a look at what we wanted. After a small wait we were seated. I originally was going to go for the Sand Dollar breakfast which involved pancakes, bacon and maple syrup until I saw the specials board. I was tempted by the scallop and black pudding salad. It did not disappoint. Beautiful food, great atmosphere and spot on service. I'll definitely be back. More...

Lunch today on a very busy Saturday! Quickly got a table for two, shown to our seat by very polite staff. Food excellent as always.
Always a good experience here, thoroughly recommend it.

Went for a late breakfast/early lunch on a busy public holiday. Small queue at the door but we were seated within 10 minutes or so. However, service was a tad slow and we waited over half an hour for our food to arrive. This would have been an issue if we were in a hurry, but we were happy to sit and chat. Perhaps we were unlucky and caught a busy patch but it seemed like the kitchen couldn't keep up with demand. When they did arrive, our food and drinks were great. Service, although slow, was friendly and helpful More...

Been to Sand Dollar many times over the years. Always a nice place to have breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. Food on offer is always well presented and not your standard cafe fair. Always a busy place, which tells you something. Recommend a visit. More...

Such a lovely cafe by the beach. The staffs are always smiling and friendly. Kids love the food and the ambiance in the restaurant. I love how they hang up a lot of paintings from local artists and they're up for sales. Their cakes are soooooo delicious! Definitely worth your time to be here for a breakfast, brunch or lunch meet up! More...

Great setting for post-night breakfast as always. Good service. Nice buzz to the place. It was packed by the time we were done at 10am.

Tasty streaky bacon in a toasted bun and lovely coffee. "Freshly squeezed orange juice" was not, it was from a carton. Lovely views of the sea from window seats but look out for excited seagulls if anyone leaves their plates on the tables and chairs outside!

Best breakfast in Aberdeen and awesome desert. Weekend mornings are really busy and we had to wait over 15 minutes for a table but it was worth it!

Nice food, good service, very popular. However because it is so popular with the younger crowd it can be difficult to get a table, not good for someone with a disability. Tables tend to be a bit close together as well so for those who like or need a bit of space this is not the best option. More...

Cullen skink soup was good, coffee as well. If you sit outside, be careful of seagulls, they love to share your food. Nice stop during beach walk.

Friendly helpful staff, good service, very tasty food. Sat outside to eat as it was a hot day and the drinks were ice cold and came with glasses with ice cubes so we had the choice of drinking the Juice as is or with the ice. Good kids menu. Great family café, well recommended. More...
