We have Samu do our wedding food in August and it was amazing couldn't have been happier we were the only vegan guests and even the other guests were amazed and loved the food. What’s your signature dish?
We love nothing more to create beautiful salads full of seasonal produce, edible flowers and quality oils with stunning small bites for buffet-style events. We also love to create dishes that celebrate the beauty of plant food without ever missing the meat. We love fragrant, flavourful foods that are balanced, delicious and nutritious. Attention to detail is everything and we put the love into our food as much as feeding our own family and friends.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We first speak in depth about what type of atmosphere they want to create. From there we will discuss the type of foods they really enjoy and would love to eat at their special event. We can then begin to source the best ingredients for the season and create dishes they will love.
What do you love most about your job?
We love to work hard, help be a part of making events special and make memorable moments. There is nothing like making people feel happy through food! We treat every event like it is friends and family. Disappointment is never an option.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Whenever eating vegan food I often found it bland or imply trying to emulate a poor version of meat and dairy. At Samu Kitchen we don't want to shout the 'V' word or try replace something but instead celebrate the beauty of great local produce and create great food in its own right.
