Safe Environment carried out an Asbestos Management Survey at my house to determine how much and what types of asbestos were present in my 60s-built property. All the people with whom I dealt were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Used them for a house and garage clearance (including clearance of asbestos from the garage) in Middlesbrough in January 2024. The workmen they sent were broadly very good; I would give them over four and a half stars, would recommend recommend them and would use them again. The price was high but competitive. I booked to have a shed roof removed which had asbestos in it. All through the process, the people I spoke to at Safe Environment understood what I was asking for and responded to emails promptly. I share the roof with my next-door neighbour, so I wanted to be sure that access wouldn't be a problem and that the scope was understood from the beginning of the project. The quote we received was less than half that of a competitor so was honestly a relief to know it wasn't going to cost and arm and a leg. The workmen who arrived were very friendly and understood the perhaps slightly complicated setup straight away and weren't fazed, they got straight to work. The work was completed promptly, and they asked me questions as they arose. They arrived a little later than expected, but this wasn't an issue, and they communicated this change of plans in plenty of time. We're very happy with the result and would recommend Safe Environment to anyone. More...

safe environment were absoluteley great to deal with, i had been dreading getting an asbestos garage removed as it had thick ivy growing on top of it for years, from start to finish was so easy, and quick, i asked for an online quote which was pretty instant then submitted photos which was really straight forward, the final quote came next day and was very reasonable, the 2 lads that came Brad & James were running late on the day due to a previous job but called and advised when they would be with me, they did an excellent job and didnt rush the clean up even though it was 7:30pm by the time they had finished, they left everything tidy and took away all the rubbish, brilliant job, thanks to al

We found through a home survey that the artex had asbestos in. Finding Safe Environment has been great as they have been very helpful in planning the removal of all affected ceilings in the house so that we can start fresh and asbestos free. The price was very competative and Chris and Gas did an amazing job removing it all and cleaned up after the job was completed. We are having another area checked for asbestos that we didnt see origianly and if it does comes back positive I will be rebooking them for this work. Would definitely recommend! We also have their plasterers booked to reinstate the ceilings at a later date and hoping its as good as this job. More...

We had a lean to shed with cement bound asbestos corrugated sheeting making up one wall that needed proper disposal. Safe Environment were recommended by a friend and quoted a very good price for the job. The guys were fast and courteous when they arrived and removed the corrugated sheeting efficiently leaving everything clean and tidy ready to rebuild a new wall. More...

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. It has now been coming up to around two months since we accepted their quote for a survey to be done on a property and OVER A MONTH since they have come to do an inspection. We have not received a report, just a few emails weeks ago that "it will be sent soon" (yeah that was weeks ago). Numerous phones and emails asking for the report, you're just told "they will call back", they never do. They're only keen on calling you before they get your money - once you've paid, this is the treatment you get. Our renovation is at a standstill for over a month, our emails have been ignored, they do not call back either and apparently transferring to some sort of management is not possible. This company is not serious, looks like all the other bad reviews are true, which makes you question all the positive ones... AVOID THIS COMPANY, AND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. More...

AWFUL - AVOID: Full Asbesdos survey done, they missed multiple parts and retested (which was Asbesdos). When they retested they turned up with no masks, no gloves and started taking samples with my less than 1 meter away - this was positive for Asbesdos. Complaint emailed and a chaser email sent and no reply. What a scam company. More...
