Reference for Mr S Egerton Tutor
We had Mr Egerton to tutor mathematics to our daughter who was in year 11. We decided to enroll a tutor after a daughter obtained a U in her first GCSE mock exam.
We found Mr Egerton after he was recommended to us by a work colleague of my wife’s. Mr Egerton came every week. He was always punctual, reliable and friendly. Our daughter got along very well with him and enjoyed her tutoring with him. She told us that he was very helpful and taught her in a way that she understood and if she didn’t she was not afraid to ask him to explain more. Employing Mr Egerton as our daughter tutor was the best decision we made with regards to her education. In her next mock exam she gained a level 4. We were all over the moon. Then in her real GCSE she gained a 5. Fantastic result. Mr Egerton also helped her with her history in which she gained a 6 in her GCSE.
We would not hesitate to recommend Mr Egerton and would definitely have him again if needed for our other daughter’s.

What do you love most about your job?
To see the delight of pupils improving and that they carry this into their schooling and progress there.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a deputy head in a private tuition business for 10 years and wanted to give back to my local community where I first became a teacher.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I have had over 50 years as a teacher and I am able I strike a good relationship with the children through caring and humour.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
If I need to visit a home I take gloves, face mask and sanitiser. I also have a screen when taking inbound clients. I can also provide lessons via video or send lessons via post and cover them via a video call.

I have been on an Adult Basic Skillscourse. Last year l helped a client pass the Numeracy and Literacy Skills Tests to enter for Qualifed Teacher Status.
