Right from our first contact with Alan he has been friendly, professional and very helpful. He made a special trip to the wedding and reception venues (Newark registry office and the Deincourt hotel) to check out any particular requirements and to ascertain the best photograph opportunities. On the day he somehow managed to be ever present at all the key moments, but somehow so discreet that I, my now husband and all the guests were able to be completely natural and relaxed. He had taken the trouble to ask us for a list of any particular group photos we wanted, so we have all the 'key players' as well as a wonderful selection of wonderfully informal, relaxed pictures of us and all the guests. The shots of the young children are particularly delightful. His fees and prices are very competitive. We chose to have all the photos on a memory stick and were delighted when this arrived to find that it is a beautiful, shiny silver heart, with some real weight to it; truly a lovely keepsake for all the memories of a completely magical day. He visited us personally to discuss all matters and requests, and also visited the various photo venues to ensure everything ran according to plan and to ensure he had a plan âBâ in case of rain. We used Alan S Walters Photography for our wedding in August 2009. Before the wedding Alan came to the church and the reception venue with us where we discussed where we would have the photos and what photos we wanted this really put me at ease for the day as everything was so organised. On the day Alan was fantastic he was so friendly and relaxed and my husband and I didn't have to worry about<span id="moreReview92285" class="hide"> the photographs everything was taken care of. All the guests commented on how nice Alan was and how they didn't really know he was there. So we had some really fantastic natural photos of our guests. Also, Alan was kind enough to stay a little longer than first planned to take photos of our first dance.We picked the photos we wanted on line and Alan designed our album which we viewed on line. It looked fantastic on line but when we got the album it was exceptional we were so pleased and everyone who has looked at our wedding album has said how wonderful and professional it is and the fact that the photos look so natural is exactly what we wanted. We went to Waltersphoto for a family portrait and as a new experience for us didn't really know what to expect. We have two small children who are not the best at sitting still either. What do you love most about your job?
It's definitely spending time to get to know the couple and their guests, and helping to guide them towards a great day and a great selection of images.
It certainly isn't anything technical - though you can rest assured after nearly 30 years working for the press and magazines I can get a great shot in any conditions
What inspired you to start your own business?
In fairness I am living the dream. From the age of around 10 when I was lucky enough to be given a camera that I had asked for - my ambition was to become a professional photographer.
From age 11 onwards I would take notes in the library from the books of great photographers - then go out in to the world and try to emulate them.
Funnily enough I have never wanted to be particularly rich - just to enjoy taking great shots and creating great memories.
Why should our clients choose you?
There is no replacement for full-time professional experience. Whether it is a bright sunny day - or maybe not (!) your wedding day deserves a real professional who can get the best from your special day! All this and reasonably priced too!
If you want great shots, taken in a friendly, relaxed and cheerful (sometimes cheeky) way that inspires your guests then please get in touch.
However you want to remember your day - laughing, relaxed or maybe a little more traditional - trust me I have covered more than 700 weddings and can accommodate your day just how you want it to be.
(BTW - no secrets, no hidden extras, no watermarks across images, no running away at 7pm if you've booked all-day, no demanding you pretend to dance early....and when you ask for a quote it will be all-inclusive!)

All images are supplied in (password protected) online galleries with an advanced ordering system for friends and relatives to view.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Physical signing of booking forms is no longer needed - all booking are electronic.
As well as being triple jabbed, because I work for the local newspaper as their photographer in the week I take a minimum of two tests per week plus an extra one before attending any social events.
