A customer suffered a complete system failure the other week due to an electrical surge - the phone system was fried Russell Telecom's Leeds office is quite nearby but I was still mighty impressed when an engineer was on-site within 10 minutes of the call for help! They really pulled the stops out to get the entire system back on-line in less than 4 business hours! This involved replacing all of the system hardware, restoring the configuration from backup (which thankfully Russell Telecom make every time they make a configuration change) and re-applying licenses. A skilful display of engineering (props to Danny Newman). I haven't experienced service like this from any other comms provider in the 22 years I've been in the IT industry! Installed our new system and took over our lines and calls almost a year ago now and it has been everything they said it would be. Only really had to call them a couple of times for minor adjustments to how the system works and each time this was done very quickly and efficiently by the helpful engineers. They have even been back and reduced our line rental and call charges!!! Would recommend Russell Telecom to anyone. More...
