Q&As

In simple terms, a great website is something that successfully delivers the required information that people have gone there to discover, combined with doing all that while looking good and representing the company that the site belongs to.

I generally start with outlining what the client wants, in what time frame and what they able to afford; this allows everything to be transparent on what myself and the client can expect of one another and the working relationship.

Following on from that, I usually like to ask the client have they seen anything similar to what they are producing or some designs they like to give me an idea of what they are wanting the end product to feel like before going off and researching. This generally falls under a basic creative process; research, initial ideas, development and implementation. The length of each stage depends on what the clients thoughts are throughout the process, also if you are not satisfied with the results of one stage, we can always take a step back and find another alternative to reach the end goal.

Generally time frame and cost are the biggest restrictions to the design process, however having no set deadline or set funds can cause equally enough problems but reaching an agreement on both are worked upon client to client then I can set out a estimate for time and funds spent on each stage of the process.

Being able to meet new people with projects that challenge my design knowledge and practice to develop something that is loved by the end.

After taking a creative breather, it's time to submerge myself in the wide and fascinating world of Graphic design.

I'm easy going, flexible and multi-disciplined, meaning I have a wide variety of skills and abilities, with a varied pool of knowledge to help tackle any brief, while being approachable and reasonable.

Brands don't just rely on logos to sell their products, the best example of brand experience are chain restaurants or stores, as regardless of where ever you are, the overall look and feel of that store will stay the same and you know what store brand you are in just by the choice of colours and treatment of environmental factors.

Web design focuses on the look of a website as a static image, like if you took a screenshot of a web page to show someone. You can see how the website will look without it being a functioning page.

Development focuses on making a working website, using images, links and possibly even videos to create a website.

Whenever we buy products one of the first things to a product is how the packaging looks and how we experience that product via that.

Infographics are static or moving visuals that tells us about things, usually along with statistics.

This is like 2D animation but is not necessarily of a cartoon style and tell a story without being a fully fleshed out animation.

This relates to anything that you can physically hold, like a poster, flyer, piece of stationary or magazine.
