Damien finished the work - a full roof replacement - just over a week ago, and I cannot find any way to fault him or his work.
I had been trying to find a reliable roofer for about 6 months, but had great difficulty getting quotes out of anyone. Roofers would say they were coming, and then not turn up, or would turn up late and not provide me with a quote, even after repeated requests. I was particularly concerned as the roof had begun leaking just prior to the second lockdown, and in the chaos of the time I had fallen victim to some charlatans, who charged me far too much and then disappeared. So I was eager not to repeat my previous mistake when the roof started leaking again - in the same place.
Damien was punctuality and efficiency personified. He turned up 12 minutes before he said he would, the very next day, had a close look at the roof and said he would provide 2 quotes, one for repairs and the other for a whole new roof. The quotes arrived the very next day (if not before, actually); he got the scaffolding up and commenced work almost immediately. He had to finish up another job, but took great care to address the most urgent aspect - a big leak into my bedroom - even before the other job was completely done.
The other job completed, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to my job; it took a few days to sort the bedroom issue completely, but it's now wonderful. I can sleep again!!
The price in the quote was adhered to, other than one little addition, for which he did not overcharge, and which he discussed with me in depth at the time. Communication was indeed fantastic. He applied himself fully and usually spoke to me each day of the work just to check on any possible leakage and to keep me updated as to what he was doing. The whole job was done in about a week.
Damien clearly takes pride in his work. He is affable, reasonably priced, communicative and punctual - the very opposite, in fact, of the people who did such a bad job previously. I doubt very much if I will need to call on his 20-year guarantee, but as he and his father have been doing this work for many years now, I'm sure it would be honoured, and promptly.

I am very pleased with the result and his timeous manner: 1st August first visit, 5/9 started, 7/10 finished, 13/10 scaffolding removed. Roofwise removed my old asbestos garage roof and replaced it with modern materials, taking care to add trim, new guttering and even returning the next day to place some special trim that hadn't originally been asked for.
Cannot fault the speed and quality of their service. The fitters were polite and friendly even to my nosey neighbor who pestered them throughout the entire job. 5 stars guys

He then came down with his team as agreed and finished the main part of removing the old roof and installing the new one on the first day then finished off the next day. Damien came and quoted the same day we spoke. I had the quote later that day. It was very reasonable so we went ahead with the work.
Damien arranged the scaffolding and turned up when expected. He was very good with the level of communication and left each day leaving the gardens clean and tidy.
His team worked late to reach a point where the roof was water tight for scheduled rain. I was reassured that he was honest enough to say when something was good enough to be reused.
It ran over a day or so due to bad weather and some unexpected additional work but he turned up and finalised it on a Saturday. He even dropped the scaffold boards so the house could be painted easily.
I would use Damien again, he was very reassuing with his guarantee and so far so good.
