Liebevoll eingerichtetes, wunderschönes Haus im Dartmoor. Sehr schöne Zimmer und ein Frühstücksraum wie ein Ballsaal. Frisch zubereitetes Frühstück mit Früchten, lokalem Käse und hausgemachtem Brot. I stayed in the gorgeous Lily Suite for 2 nights. The room has a ensuite (great shower and lovely perfect size), a large and comfortable bed. Amazing view.||Breakfast and coffee were perfect. ||||I went for a lovely long run/walks down the stunning Yarner drive and up a woodland walkway. We stayed 3 nights in The Wray Valley Room and we particularly enjoyed having a private bathroom across the corridor and the fully equipped common kitchen which makes us fully feel like home. ||||The Yarner House is a castle like country house with the most fabulous view on the Dartmoor National Park and it looks even better in real life. We held our wedding here on 2/8/11 and have some amazing memories. Nothing was too much trouble for Maja and her fantastic team, and we had the day of our lives. The wedding took place in the African thatched hut, we had a jazz band playing, cream teas, cupcakes and Pimms after, stunning flowers by Maja and Charlotte, bunting (made by me and my best friend) festooned the garden ! Yarner House really is a special place. From the road, a tiny sign leads you up the long approach to a grand country house, where you are met by the most fabulous view. A warm friendly welcome from the hosts really makes you feel special, and instantly at ease at this family run hotel. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and modern, but with a character and attention to good taste. The huge bathtub overlooking the garden was especially lovely. The mainly continental breakfast was plentiful, of excellent quality and variety (fresh pastries, fruit, meat/cheeses), and actually a nice change to the ubiquitous fry up ! The real gems here though are the host family, who really made the stay special, gave plenty of good recommendations for things to do/places to eat/drink etc, but above all, make you feel entirely at ease, and that nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here for three nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. My husband ordered flowers to be delivered before our arrival. He also spoke to Lily (our host) to arrange for a bottle of champagne to be in the suite. Lily was more than happy to help and purchased a lovely bottle of champagne on his behalf. The flowers, chilled champagne and glasses were waiting for us in our room. The house is absolutely beautiful, the views are stunning, the rooms are amazing, the huge bed was so comfy and the hosts couldn’t be any nicer if they tried. We stayed at Yarner House for one night and we both wish we had longer,||We were travelling around Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and used this as a stop on our way home to Essex. We will definitely be coming back to spend a bit more time. We had the lovely Silver Suite which has a beautiful free standing bath. The views are incredible. Lily is a very attentive friendly host with three lovely dogs that she keeps away if you aren't a dog person but let me meet them outside. We both slept like logs in the huge comfortable bed. The lounge upstairs is beautifully decorated. It's a great location for some country walks locally and The Rock Inn (Lily's recomendation) is a really lovely place to eat within a mile of Yarner House.||Breakfast was amazing. We aren't usually fans of continental but this was great. Lovely selection of fresh fruits, yoghurts and cereals. Lily's mum had made some fresh plum compot which was lovely and Lily brought out some croissants that they had just made which were really good. We have chose a Silver Suite for this occasion. ||||The location is fantastic - in the middle of Dartmoor National Park. Wild deers, squirrels, birds and looots of trees - full relaxation from the city. And some historical places not so far: Medieval Village and forest, Haitor, Houndtor, Templer way, etc.||||The house is incredible. Listed property with rich history and atmosphere. Furniture is new and there are some antique pieces, which make this place authentic. The owners with their lovely dogs are a highly friendly family with the hospitality on the top level! They were ready to help us every time we needed it. ||||By car or taxi you may find various restaurants to have a dinner. ||Several times we cooked at Yarner “home”, because there was a separate kitchen, dining area and sitting room at our service. ||||The breakfasts were yummy!) various cheeses, cherry tomatoes, meats, granolas, fruits, croissants, toasts, butter, marmalades... We spend a couple of days with our two kids at Yarner House and had two rooms close together. We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house, everything is so nicely decorated, the hosts were very friendly, they create a really personal and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable with a stunning view. The house is surrounded by great nature, inviting for short and long hikes. We had a wonderful stay at Yarner House. The room (Silver Suite) was furnished to a very high standard and had a wonderful large Moroccan bath overlooking the window. The house is just inside Dartmoor with panoramic views for miles around and very close to walks, attractions (e.g. Becky Falls, Haytor Rocks) and great pubs/restaurants.Lily and her mum were perfect hosts and provided a delicious breakfast every morning. This charming manor, which has been a destination wedding location for years, is perfectly situated on a hillside just inside Dartmoor with incredible views of the surrounding countryside. Its the perfect place to unplug and recharge. We stayed 3 nights and cannot say enough about how positive the experience was. The rooms are comfortable, individualized and well appointed. The thick walls of the house (1700s?) made it super quiet at night The hosts are amazing, very friendly and provided excellent service. Loved the breakfasts. Hiking was just a short walk away. Coffee on the front lawn in the morning overlooking the countryside was magical. Theres WiFi and fine mobile coverage if needed; I took an overseas Skype video call from there with no problem. Yarner House – What an incredible place! We had the most amazing wedding weekend, everything from start to finish was just perfect and the venue itself is as flexible as you need it to be so you really can plan your dream day and to top it off you have the most amazing views of Dartmoor to look out at! Lily was absolutely lovely to work with throughout the whole of the planning and was also just amazing on the actual day – it would not have been the same without her! ||We stayed the whole weekend at Yarner House and so managed to take advantage of its B&B too, the rooms are just lovely (BIG call out here for the Silver Suite and THAT bath!) and definitely have the WOW factor, with the added bonus of the kitchen and living room which worked perfectly for getting ready and family time! It was lovely to have a BBQ and reminisce on the Sunday following the wedding and just rounded off the weekend perfectly! We will 100% be back to visit! More...
